Mr. and Mrs. Terrance Cockran and family returned home Thursday from Fort Bel knap. Mrs. L. C. Lippert entertained members of her Hobby club Thursday. Mrs. Gordon Powers was a guest of the club. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Lippert and guests, Mr. and Mrs. Nos lef Nesset, went camping in Little Horn canyon over the week end. Mr. Nesset is super intendent of the Cheyenne agency. Miss Barbara Lippert attend ed the Sheridan rodeo Satur day. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lippert and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle McCel lan returned Wednesday from a trip to Yellowstone park. Tom Lippert left Thursday for his home in Lemon, S. D. Mrs. Lippert and Alberta Ann are staying on at the L. C. Lippert home. Mrs. Don Foltz and family of Billings spent Thursday through Saturday with her sis ter, Mrs. Donald Flamm and family. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Flamm Friday eve ning were Mrs. Don Foltz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Faulkner, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hubbard and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gard ener of Hardin. Mrs. Donald Flamm was hostess to 19 of her sons, Joey and Donnie’s friends when she entertained at a lawn party Friday afternoon at her home in honor of their fifth and third birthdays. Guests inclu ded Raymond and Billy Rou beaux, Donnie Williams, Cybil Cockran, Nancy Hougaard, Kenny and Pat Cox, Larry All red. Dale and Gary Claymore, Andy, Jr., Maria and Margaret Ann Ghigo, Kenny and Pat Old Coyote, Mary Beth and Bil ly Foltz and Johnny Flamm. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Hart and children of Clineberg, Wyo., and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hub bard of Hardin were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Flamm Sunday. Miss Pat Landon, who is at tending Eastern Montana Col lege of Education in Billings, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Urban Landon. Miss Woishia Harvey left Friday for her home in Birney after spending two weeks with the Schrocks. Miss Pat Landon and Mrs. Bill Drake were Sheridan shop pers Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haug and family of Denver spent the week end with Mrs. Haug’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hitchcock. ' Mrs. Urban Landon traveled to Absarokee last week where she met her sister, Mrs. Ruth Campbell and sister-in-law, Mrs. H. K. Ferster and sons. From Absarokee the group went through Yellowstone park. Mary Cheryle Fay, who has been a guest of Tana Allred, left Thursday for her home in Billings. From Crow Agency they visited Mr. and Mrs. Ben Link in Garryowen and relatives in Hardin. Mr. and Mrs. Urban Landon moved into the apartment next to Richardson and Small store this week. LaVonne Gookin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Logan Gookin, of Hardin was a guest of the Link family Wednesday through Saturday. Guests of the Albert Link family Monday were Mr. Link’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Link. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Allred and Tana and Mr. and Mrs. Chesley Allred, Vicki and Larry picnicked with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brow-n and Terri at Soap creek Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Barney Old Coyote and family attended the rodeo parade in Sheridan Saturday. After the parade they spent the day in Story. Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Schrock attended the Sheridan rodeo Saturday where he represented the Choctaw Indian tribe. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Cockran and son, Bryan, left for their home in Hayes Sunday evening after spending several days with Mr. and Mrs. Terrance Cockran. Powers, Clark Stanton, Rayne Pilgeram, Andrea Ghigo, Barney Old Coyote, Chesley Allred, Clarence Munn, Mike Big Hair and Mike Black Hair left for the Big Horn moun tains Tuesday, July 14, to fight a timber fire burning at the head of Black canyon. The for estry fire crew was assisted in the operations by Tschirgi’s crew which came from sheep camps and from Lodge Grass. Wednesday William Thompson, Bob Robeaux, Roy McComas and four Indian men arrived at the fire to assist in mop-up operations. The fire was com pletely out Friday, July 17, when the entire crew returned to Crow Agency. Debby Stanton left Thursday to spend some time with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Baker, in Lodge Grass. Linda Stanton went to Sher idan Sunday with her grand oarents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. W Stanton, and aunt, Mrs. Joe Al lison of Hardin. • Sarpy Creek By Sarpy Ladies Club Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lilley and family visited in Hysham and in Billings where they trans acted business Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Smith of Hardin were Sunday afternoon visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Luther, Jr. Sunday the Sarpy Beaver 4-H club held its meeting- at the Leslie Criswell home. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Roath of Forsyth and several parents were guests at the meeting. Plans for camp to be held at Crazy Head Sorings were made. Cooney, direc tor of wildlife restoration for the State Fish and Game de partment. The group traveled from the winter range in the foothills to the summer range on the Con tinental Divide. “One of the principal objec tives of the inspection was to determine the importance of the Bob Marshall Wilderness area in the management of the Sun river elk herd,” said Coo ney, “particularly in furnishing adequate spring calving range, as well as summer grazing land.” Hardin, Montana 11
