S. officers last Wednesday evening at the Masonic temple for Mrs. Ruth Giles, worthy matron. About 30 guests were present. Other honored guests were Mrs. Marilyn Jones and Mrs. Grace Gibbs whose birthdays were also on that day. A gift was presented by officers to Mrs. Giles. Hostess at Coffee Mrs. H. R. Salyer was hostess last Thursday afternoon at a sur prise coffee party complimenting Mrs. Carl Nordquist on her birth day. Attending were Mrs. Clarence Jones, Mrs. Melvin Denny, Mrs. Jean Holmes, Mrs. Albert Wildin. Mrs. Carl Edwards. Mrs. Russell Peterson, Miss Myrtle Peterson and Mrs. Ruth Giles. A. Petzoldt. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Catheryn Green of Lodge Grass and the bridegroom is the son of Arthur Perkins of Eureka, Cal., and Mrs. Leo Sell of St. Xavier. Mrs. Walter O. Green, Jr., played the organ music and accompanied Clinton Thompson who sang “O Promise Me” and “The Wedding Prayer.” The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Walter D. Green. Jr., wore a floor-length gown of net over taffeta with a sequined lace fitted bodice and a chapel train. A net cap embroider ed with seed pearls held her fin gertip-length veil and she carried a bouquet of red roses. Miss Peggy Green was her sis ter’s maid of honor. She wore a ballerina-length gown of lilac net over taffeta and carried a lilac, gladioli nosegay with lilac carna tion center. Miss Dorothy Spadaford and Miss Emma Jean Sorger were bridesmaids and wore identical ballerina-length gowns of pink net over taffeta and carried noesgays of pink gladiolis with pink can nation centers. Dorothy Helen Pattyn served as flower girl. Attending Mr. Perkins was his brother, George Perkins, as best man. Ushers were George Gross man and Teddy Burroughs. John Keeling, cousin of the bride, and Gary Chandler, cousin of the groom, were candle bear ers. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Green wore a blue lace gown with white accessories. Mrs. Sell, mother of the bridegroom, wore a cham paigne lace gown with pink acces sories. Baskets of pink and lavender gladiolis and peonies decorated the church parlor for the wedding re ception. Couple Marry in South Dakota Miss Ella Mae Davis and Ken neth Woodley were united in mar riage July 2 in Deadwood. S. D. The Rev. H. Howard Miller, pas tor of the Methodist church of Deadwood, performed the double^ ring ceremony. Attendants were Grace Miller of Deadwood and the Rev. Robert H. Wagner of Mitchell, S. D. The wedding was performed in the same church in which the bride’s parents were married 59 years ago. The couple will make their home near Hardin. Honors Daughter Mrs. Ivan Harden honored her daughter, Nicky, on her fourth birthday Saturday afternoon with a party in the city park. Guests were Miles and Terill Torske, Susie Isio, Susan, Wayne, Vernon and Carolyn Nayumatsu. Valire and Sandy Nayumatsu, Marie Shirasago, Sammy and Kathy Shirasago, Danny Walker. Dennis and Steven Fox, Kraig Stephens. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sharpe of San Francisco, Cal., left Sunday to return to that city after visit ing during the past week at the home of Mr. Sharpe’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sharpe of Hardm.
