A large number attended the baby shower Friday evening given for Frances Gamble, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gamble, by the Sarpy Social club at the Gam ble home. Non-Sarpy residents at tending the shower were Mrs. Fred Dust, of Hysham, Mrs. Olive Camp bell, of Myers, Mrs. Math Koch Sr. and Mrs. Andy Koch, both of Custer, Mrs. George Smith Jr., Judy and Kathyann, of Billings, and Mis. Greta sissle. Mr. and Mrs. Ozzie Nichols and girls were Friday shoppers in Har din. Wednesday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gamble were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ferguson, Barry and Susan. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Peterson at tended the sale at the Savage ranch, north of Sumatra, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Garverich left Monday to spend a week of fishing in Idaho. Lind The Wyola Baptist church will hold a Rally day and Home Coming picnic at the Carl Gross Ranch Sunday Sept. 6, following church services. All families in the com munity are invited. The annual Snu day school promotion will also be held at the church Sept, 6. Mrs. Hollis Sargent, the former Olive Hammett, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Marts and sons of Gregory, S. D., to Wyola Thursday where Mr. and Mrs. Marts attend ed the Carl Gross sale. They were guests of Mrs. Sargents parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hammett. They returned to their home Friday. A family gathering was held at the Hammett home Thursday evening with Mrs. John Hammett Jr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Williams and Mary all of Lodge Grass and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hammett and children of Hardin attending. Mr. and Mrs. Al Stevens and family of Billings visited with Mr. and Mrs. Hammett Sunday enroute to their new home in Sheridan, Wyo. Mrs. Stevens is the former Alice Ham mett. The Rev. and Mrs. Stan Benson and family of Lodge Grass were guests of the Rev. and Mrs. Lee Briggs at a steak fry Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Schroeder Jr. have puchased the former home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd J. Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Artist and family have moved to their apart ment after spending the summer in Dayton, Wyo. Week-end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Farman were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Newell of Cody, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Farman and Mrs. Maude Schillinger of Sheridan, Wyo. Also dinner guests Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Dade Farman and children. A recent visitor of the Farman's was their daughter, Mrs. Dan McCausland, of Forsyth. Superintendent Hugh Artist an nounced a total of 95 pupils started school the first day with more ex pected in the near future. Mrs. C. H. Barber of Sheridan was a dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Montgomery Sunday. Leaving Thursday for their home in Lausanne, Switzerland were Mr. and Mrs. F. Schuon. Paul Gobel returned to his home in London, England. They have been guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Yellowtail for several weeks. Mrs. Connie Small moved to Sheridan this week to send her nephew, T. R. Yellowtail and his brother, Gilbert Glenn, to Sheri dan high school. Also attending Sheridan high school will be Judy Boyd and Pat Powers. James I. Billy, to Forsyth Tuesday to meet other 4-H members leaving on the 4-H range management tour. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Schrvibeis and sons brought Alice Rowland home from Sheridan Tuesday eve ning.
