Montana Thursday, December 17, 1959 Thursday Bridge Club Mrs. Walford Johnston of Roberts, former member of the Thursday bridge club was a guest when the club met Dec. 10 at the home Mrs. Helen Olenlk for theilr annual pitch-in Christmas dinner and ex change of gifts. Awards at cards were won by Mrs. Jtohnson, Miss Ann Ray and Mrs. Robert Boles. Draw prize went to Miss Myrtle Peterson. Thimble Club Meet The Neighbors of Woodcraft Thimble club met at Mrs. Catherine Schubert’s home Wednesday after noon. Dec. 9. Mrs. C. E. Ford was 00-hostess. The annual Christmas party and gift exchange was observed. Program for WSCS A Christmas program under the direction of Mrs. N. C. Sharp pre ceded the business meeting of the Women's Society of Christian Ser vice of the Methodist church when they met in the church sanctuary Dec. 10 at 8 p. m. Several Christmas songs were sung by a group of Sth grade girls with Mrs. George Hammond as organist. Following the program, the re gular business meeting was held in the church parlors with Mrs. Lysle Wight presiding. Htostesses were Mrs. Leon Johnson, Mrs. Loren Cole. Mrs. Fred Kerrick and Mrs. Leslie Holmes. Bridge Club Xmas Party Mrs. Mike Gesuale was a guest when Mrs. Jack Lappin entertained her bridge club Thursday evening,! observing the Christmas season with a gift exchange. Awards went tto Mrs. Harold George and Mrs. Gesuale. Pioneer Circle Meets Mrs. W. G. Harrod was in charge of devotions when the Pioneer cir cle met Thursday at the Congrega tional church. Past Matrons Dinner The Past Matrons’ club held their annual Christmas dinner and party Friday evening at the Masonic Temple. Mrs. B. A. Zimmerman was chair man of the serving committee, as sisted 1 by Miss Myrtle Peterson and Mrs. Sam Denny. Following the dinner, cards were played with awards going to Mrs. E. E. Jackson and Mrs. Kenneth Lewis. Mrs. Ola Maddox received the guest prize. Birthday Surprise Party Patricia Sullivan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sullivan, was honor guest for a surprise party at her home Dec. 12. on her 13th birthday. Eight girls were at the party and later attended the Hardin-Laurel basketball game. House Warming A group of friends and neighbors from the North Valley community gave a house warming party for Mrs. C. A. Rogers at her new tome at the fairgrounds in Hardin. Election of officers lor the coming y-ar was held, with Miss Sittel elect ed president, Mrs. Herschell Watson, vice-president, and Mrs. Hugh Bird secretary-treasurer Bridge Club Xmas Party Mrs. J. Following the trip out to the hills they enjoyed a chili supper and Christmas party in the recreation room of the Baptist church. Decor ating the tree and exchange of gifts was held.
