Five couples enjoyed the new
y“ar» eve together at the Hart
Glumblk home. They were the hosts.
Mr. and Mrs. Glumblk and Mr. and
Mis. vlarence Anderson. Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Clawson. Mr. and Mrs
Lawrence Kreiger, and Mr. and Mrs
Irwin Hults.
HONORS MRS. HAY
Mrs. Sophie Hay of Kalispell was
honored on Monday with a coffee
hour given for her by her daughter,
Mrs Milton Molsberry at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Molsberry. There
were eight ladies present.
NEW YEARS’ EVE PARTY
A group of young people enjoyed a
New Years Eve watch party at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. A. G West
wood Jr. with Laura Westwood the
hostess. Those present were Betty
Ellie. Judy Wiley. Deanna Lind

Wins DAR Award
Miss Joan Tschirgi of WjOla has
won the D. A. R. award In the
Lodge Grass high school.
The D. A. R. award is sponsored
locally by the Absaroka Chapter
of the Daughters of the American
Resolution.
The D. A. R. selection Is made
by the high school faculty and
members of the Senior Class.
It Is based on a number of points
Including leadership, loyalty, service
cooperation, dependability consider,
atlon for others, courtesy, patriot
ism, and unselfish Interests In
family school, community and
nation.
A competitive test will be given
later as entry In the state wide
contest. The state winner will
be entered In the National D. A. R.
contest.
Miss Tschirgi is the daughter ol
Frank Tschirgi of Wyola. She at
tended grade school in Wyola and
is a senior in high school at Lodge
Grass. Besides the regular class
work Miss Tschirgi is very active
in extra curricular activities.
She was a member of the A
squad cheerleaders in her fresh
man and sophomore years. She was
pep club vice-president in her

junior year and president this year.

student council member junior and
senior years; a member of the
G. A. A. in her freshman year and

She was a member of the high
school band all four years and of

she was band president and is
band secretary this year.
She was paper staff editor as a
junior and assistant editor as a
sophomore and is editor of the
annual art department this year.
She served as secretary of the
rodeo club as a junior and is serv
ing as treasurer this year.
In her freshman year she was
chosen best All Around Girl.
Miss Tschirgi was in the Junior
class play last year and in the
senior class play this year. She
was in the operetta when she was
a freshman, in the Drama Club as
a sophomore, and in the pep band
during her junior year. She was
also an office worker in her sopho
more year.

been spending the past two weeks
with her grandparents, Mr. and

home. Also there were Mr. and Mrs
Paul Glumblk of Lodge Grass.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hayden of
Fort Collins, Colo, were Christmas

family are moving to Lodge Grata
where Hayden will be employed at
the Simpson sawmill In the Wolf
Mountains.
Charles Westwood who has been
spending the holidays with hla
parents, Mr. and Mra. A. G. West
wood Jr. left Sunday, Jan. 3, to re
turn to his college in Philadelphia,
Penn.
Mra. Hilda Westwood left Lodge
Grass just before the holidays tor
Montgomery. Ala. where she will
make an extended visit with her
son-in-law and daughter. Lieut. Col.
and Mra. Warren Sands and iamlly
Mr. and Mra. Richard Pilch and
children entertained a number of
guests at their home during the
holiday season. First to arrive were
Mr. and Mrs. Al Kilgore, brother
in-law and sister of Mr. Pilch, and
Mr. Pilch's mother, Mrs. Anna Pllcn.

Dec. 20th and left on the 21. Mrs

Gibson was a patient In St. Vincent
hospital for a few daya berore
going to the Donahoe homa. Mr.

Lodge Grass with the Gibsons’ and

day for their home after spending
the holiday season with Mrs. Bow
man’s parents. Mr. and Mra. Clem
Overturf. Also here for the holiday*
from Valier were Mr. and Mra
Charles Overturf. They plan to leave
on Sunday, Januay 3rd. for their
home. All of the rest of the Overturf
children live in this area. They were
all home for a family reunion on
Christmas day.
