Fitch left Hardin Feb. 11 for Los Angeles to at tend the 38th international con vention of the Foursquare church. It was an eight day convention starting Feb. 14. There were 1,550 delegates in attendance. While there Mr. Roper spent some time with his son, Paul, who is attending Bible school in the mornings and working at the Lockheed Aircraft on the swing shift. The travelers were caught in the flood and experienced bliz zard conditions on their return trip. o Patten speaks in Illinois, visiting ministers at Agency The Rev. Veldon L. Patten left Feb. 9 to do missionary speaking in the state of Illinois. While at Mendota he was tem porarily detained by a snow storm. On Feb. 20 be began a training school at Green Lake, Wis., that will last until Mar. 8. During Mr. Patten's absence visiting ministers are conducting the services with the help of the local people. The Rev. Howard Remmich spoke on Feb. 11. The Baptist Youth Fellowship was in charge of the entire service Feb. 18. Those taking part were Ron ald Davis, Bill Garry. Grant Nay lor. TALES FROM YELLOWTAIL Arts and Crafts group sets meeting dates On Monday evening, the arts and crafts group of Fort Smith met at the home of Mrs. Sam Rey. The group will meet the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7.30 p.m. in the confer ence room of the USER admin istration building. Mrs. Clinton C. Mathany and Mrs. Allen Leisk are co-chairmen. Regular Sunday School sessions to be held The Fort Smith community Sun day School was organized Sunday. Classes for three-year-olds up to adulta will meet each Sunday at 10 a.m. in the conference room of the USBR administration building. Mrs. Larry Seekins is superinten dent.
