PRICE . a <• In men's C league competition Monday night Dec. 23, Frank's Grocery continued to lead the league by winning four points on a forfeit from the DeMolays. As a team is required to roll to win a forfeit the grocery team rolled a total of 2,166 pins. During the week some very good j series were rolled, with Joe Larson | leading with a 575 series, followed j by Brano with 545 and Burke with 540. Leading in the singles division was L. Kucera with 224, followed by Brano with 218 and Lewis with 214. In one of the closest matches of the season in men's C league the newly organized Independents nos ed out the Farmers Union, three points to one. They won the first 1 game by one pin, won the second ( by 30, lost the third by 25, to take total pins by a narrow margin of six. Tuesday night in the men's B ' league all the games were postponed j until a later date. The teams are I so close in this league that a play- j off will be held at the convenience j of the teams. | Thursday night in ladies' A league : the Board of Trade won all four points from the Farmers Union; total pins were Board 2055, Farm ers Union 1880. Vaughn-Ragsdale continued in first place by downing Laurel Alleys four points; total pins were Vaughn-Ragsdale 1943, Alleys 1794. Friday night in men's A league Greening Chevrolet entry got hot, with Joe* Larson hitting for 575 ! to lead the way for four points over j the V. F. W. No. 2 team. Ed Burke I fired 540 for the vets, all to avail. no Total pins were Greening's I 2527, Veterans No. 2 2335. Laurel | Alleys and the Veterans team No. j 1 split two points each, with the i Alleys taking one game and total | pins 2389-2372. j In a postponed game from Dec. 6 the Laurel Alleys nosed out the V. F. W. No. 1 team two games out of three and total pins 2435 to 2397.
