NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
by the Council of the City of
Laurel, Montana, that the said
Council will, on the 7th day of
June, A. D. 1949, at the hour of
7:30 o'clock P. M. at its Council
Chamber in the City of Laurel,
Montana, sell to the highest and
best bidder for cash, either
amortization or serial bonds of
the said City in the total amount
of Thirty-Five Thousand ($35,
000.00) Dollars, for the purpose
of procuring, constructing, estab
lishing, maintaining and operat
ing a swimming pool within the
corporate limits of said City.
Amortization bonds will be the
first choice and serial bonds will
be the second choice of the
Council.
If amortization bonds are sold
and issued the entire issue may
be put into one ( 1 ) single bond
or divided into several bonds, as
the Council mav determine upon
at the time of sale, both prin
cipal and interest to be payable
in semi-annual installments dur
ing a period of twenty years
from the date of issue.
If serial bonds are issued and
sold, they will be in the amount
°f Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00)
sum 0 f Fifteen Hun
dred Dollars ($1,500.00) of said
serial bonds will become due and
payable on the 1st day of July
A. D. 1950, and a like amount
on the same day each year there
after until all such bonds are
paid, except that the last in
stallment wall be in the amount
of Six Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars, ($6,500.00).
The said bonds, whether amor
tization or serial bonds, will bear
date of the 1st day of July, A.
D. 1949, will bear interest at a
um
rate not exceeding four per cent
(4%) per annum, payable
semi-annually, on the first day
of January, and the 1st day of
July in each year, and wall be
redeemable at the option of the
City of Laurel at any time after
five years from the date of is
sue.
Said bonds will be sold for not
less than their par value with
accrued interest to date of de
livery and all bidders must state
the lowest rate of interest at
which they will purchase the
bonds at par. The Council re
serves the right to reject any and
all bids and to sell said bonds
at private sale.
All bids other than by or on
behalf of the State Board of
Land Commissioners of the State
of Montana must be accompanied
by a certified check in the sum
of Two Thousand Dollars, ($2,
000 . 00 ), payable to the order of
the City Clerk, which will be
forfeited by the sucessful bidder
in the event he shall fail or re
fuse to complete the purchase of
said bonds in accordance with the
terms of his bid.
All bids shall be addressed to
the Council of the City of Lau
rel, and delivered to the Clerk
of said City.

CAR
Sealed bids for a New 2-door,
Police Patrol Car, will be receiv
ed by the City Council of the
City of Laurel, Montana, until
7:30 o'clock • P. M. Tuesday', May
17th, 1949, and at 7:30 o'clock P.
M. of said day the City Council
will in regular session open and
consider such bids.
The Patrol car shall meet the
following specifications:
Shall be a deluxe model, 2
door, equipped with new
radio, long and short wave;
Heater and new spotlight,
with old siren and Police
light transferred from pres
ent car; with trade-in of 1941
Ford Tudor.
Each bid should be sealed and
endorsed "Bid for Police Patrol
Car" and mailed or delivered to
the City Clerk not later than
7:30 o'clock P. M. of the said
day.
The City Council hereby re
serves the right to reject any
and all bids.

RESOLUTION AND NOTICE
WHEREAS, in accordance with
the provisions of Chapter 98 of
1937 Session Laws of Montana,
the Board of County Commis
sioners of Yellowstone County,
Montana, restricted the expendi
tures to be made in the 1948-49
budget to a sum not to exceed
be held on May 13th, 1949 at
ten thirty o'clock A. M. in the
office of the said Board in the
Courthouse at Billines, Montana,
at which time any taxpayer may
be heard for or aeainst the in
crease as contemplated by this
resolution and that a copy of
by ten per cent the expenditures
for the previous year, and
WHEREAS, the amount for
the item of Coroner havine been
expended by reason of unforseen
expenses being repeatedly incur
red during the year in excess of
the sum contemplated and allow
ed by said budget, and
WHEREAS, it is estimated
that the sum of $ 200.00 will be
required for said item until the
end of the fiscal year, June 30,
1949:
