Henry, Phyllis Dassonville and Carroll Quiring were Wolf.' Point callers Thursday., after noon. Mr and Mrs Nick Peters, Mr and Mrs Ted Dahl, William Pet ers and Aaron Peters of Emmett. Idaho were guests at Mr and Mrs Joe Otrenibas Wednesday even ing. Mrs Nick Peters and son and Mrs J W Calfee and chidren Don aid and Joyce were shoppers at Wolf Point Tuesday afternoon. Mr and Mrs Edwin Johnson and son Henry spent Christmas with Mrs Johnson’s parents near Richey. Mr and Mrs Joe Oti'emba ac campan ied by Helen and Harvey Otremba Vere Glasgow callers Tuesday afterndon. Mr and Mrs B A Hovey and Mr and Mrs M A Lien were din ner guests Christmas day at the R L Sheppard home. Mr and Mrs Robert Hovey land Larry were also supper guests. Mr and Mrs Henry Mohr and daughter Joan of Glasgow join ed Mr and Mrs Ted Dahl and Deanna and drove out to the home of Mr and Mrs Henry Dahl near Lustre Christmas day. Mr and Mrs Gene Hermanson and family of New Deal spent Christmas day at the Geo Kjens rud home. FROID NEWS FUNERAL HELD FOR RALPH LAMAR Funeral services were held for Ralph Lamar at the Congrega tional church Dec 24. Mr Lamar, 66, died at the Williston hospital last Saturday. Rev Lacey de livered the sermon. Mr Lamar has been working at the Schnitzler ranch where he fell on ice and fractured his leg. He was taken to the hos pital at Williston where he had la heart attack and passed away very suddenly. M r Lamar was born March 12, 1876 at Zeeland, Mich, and was reared in that vicinity. He was married at Beaver Dam, Mich, on Oct 12, 1897 to Alberthia Scott. After farming in his home community, Jie and his wife came west in 1906 and took up a homestead adjoining the Froid townsite on the north. He farm ed there until 1918 when he sold out and moved to a ranch 20 miles east of Froid, living there until shortly before his death. Survivors are his widow and | one daughter, Mrs Dale Wilson of Lebanon. Ore., seven sons, Andrew of Robbin, Calif., Gar iet of Froid, John of Alaska, AJ ! bert of Omaha. Joe in the Ha waiian islands, Ralph of Butte, and Clinton of Bonetrail, and 16 grandchildren. Also, there are five sisters: Mrs G Handcamip of London. Wash-, Anna and Louise Lamar of Seattle, Mrs Louis Kiamar of Hudsonville, Mich, and Mrs Nel lie Vangelderen of Zeeland, and three brothers: Joe of Froid, John of Grand Rapids and Cor minis of Zeeland. Those family members who at tended the funeral were: Albert of Omaha, Neb., Ralph of Butte and Clinton of Bonetrail. June Hammond and Dorothy Engler of Poiplar are hcime visit ing for the Christmas vacation. Harry Hammond is in Froid visiting at the Jim Hammond home. Ruby Rush from Miles City is in Froid visiting with friends. She will return to her home on Jan 4- Betty Darland is home for the Chistmas vacation, .visiting her parents M r and Mrs F Darland. She will return t o her position in Fort Peck after her visit. Lilhan Portra from Miles City is home for the vacation. She will visit her parents for two weeks Selma Lee who is teaching at Wyola. Roger Berge left Saturday for his home at Seattle after being called home by his mother's ill ness. She is much improved. Mr- and Mrs. Robert Hovey and son Larry were Christmas day dinner guests of her par ents, Mr and Mrs James Terry at Wolf Point. School will begin Jan 4. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Decker and family, Mr and Mrs Toby Unrau and family and Mr and Mrs Z J Decker spent (Christmas with Mrs Ben Decker’s parents, Mr and Mrs Wm Konrad at Nashua- VELMA A. GLAZE son Roger and her parents, Mr and Mrs Ed Cheney and other friends. The G A A had a party in the gym on Friday, Dec 18 at seven o'clock. There were 58 boys and girls present and the evening was spent in playing games. The broom dance proved to be the most popular game of the even ing. For supper partners, Santa Clauses were passed out with a girl's name on each picture. As ter lunch more games were en joyed. The Froid Cardinal basket ball team was defeated by the Antelope team Dec 22 at the to cal gym. The score was 26 to 9, with the Cardinals only making 2 points in the first quarter, 2 in the second, 1 in the third and 4 in the final quarter. High point man was Harry Sorensen and Paulson and Hammond, each making 2 scores. I Adelaide Butler from Havre is home visiting her parents Mr and Mrs A R Butler. Mr and Mrs Jens Swendson are home for a short visit. They now live at Fort Peck. Mr and Mrs Bill Reiter’s daughters are all home for the Christmas vacation, Esther from Tacoma.
