THINK IT OVER
How about doing a little cold
Unt.'v thinking after you lay
a? 'e this newspaper tonight?
You’ve got a good job. The
chances are there is someone
else in your
family, per
haps two or
three, work
ing. Your
son or your
brother —
may be away
at war.
Th i s war
must end

sometime. Your whole family,
your neighbors, are praying it
ends soon and those fighting boys
of yours will come home safely.
But will you be ready for
whatever happens when peace
comes? Will you have some
thing laid away? We’re all hop
ing there’ll be jobs aplenty, jobs
which mean making something
for somebody’s happiness and
not for somebody’s sorrow.
That’s where your War Bonds
come into the picture. Sure.
Americans own billions of dol
lars of War Bonds now;'and be
fore this 4th War Loan ends
they will have put away billions
more. But how about you?
You’re the one that counts. The
bigger the pile of War Bonds
you have when peace comes, the
bigger chance you’ll have to slip
right into the post-war world
you’re dreaming about tonight.
So "Left All Back the Attack.”

Marina Corps Photo
One of the most dramatic pictures to come out of this war shows a group of Marines just as they charge to take
a heavy re-inforced Jap pill-box on Thrawa. It was such fighting as this that claimed so many casualties. The only
way Marines could take pill-boxes of this type was to drive the ‘o—, cutside from the top of the pill-box, which
exposed our men to Jap fire from other pill-boxes. How about Lu an extra War Bond today to back up such
fighting men as these? From U.S. Treasury

Corks Mediterranean Bottleneck
Strongly fortified as a couhterbal

Royal Air force has repeatedly
bombed the Axis base on the island
.in the past two years. Smaller
than the District of Columbia in

east of the nearest point on Tunisia’s
Cape Bon and 65 miles southwest of

Eye Strain in Hosiery Mill
Faber Birren, industrial color con
sultant, tells of a well-lighted
hosiery mill which still had many
complaints of headache and eye
strain from workers who had to loop
threads over a series of fine needles.
It was noted that the needles simply
“stood out” in space; equipping the
i machines with side and back panels
i of light gray-blue corrected the con
dition at once.
4 Major Cause of Death
A majority of deaths among hor^e
and mule workstock can be attribute
ed to improper feeding, poor man
agement, and internal parasites. If
the 95 per cent of the horses and
mules infested with parasites were
given medicinal treatment, good
feeding and care would put them in
condition for maximum efficiency
