The mothers ot the bride and groom both wore navy blue and had corsages of gardenias. The church was decorated with huge bouquets of peonies and other cut flowers. The altar was lighted by candles. A reception was held in the church parlors immediately after the ceremony and attended by friends and relatives of the cou ple. A three-tierd wedding cake topped by a miniature bride and groom was served at the luncheon. Mrs. Jensen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Spencer of Wolf Point and is a graduate of the Wolf Point high school and HERALD-NBWB — Welt Paint, Roosevelt County, Montana of Montana college st Havre. She has taught fa the Wolf Point schools for the past five years. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Jensen of McCabe and is employed at the Farmers Un ion Elevator in Wolf Point. After a brief wedding trip to points west, the Jensens will make their home in Wolf Boint. Dolores Koepke, Norman Hveem Wed Sunday Miss Dolores Koepke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Koepke of Wolf Point, became the bride of Norman Jay Hveem, son of Mrs. Julia Hveem of Missoula, at an early morning ceremony at the First Lutheran church in Wolf Point on Sunday, June Sth. The Reverend Rolf A. Normann per formed the lovely double ring ceremony. Attendants were Miss Jeanette Koepke, sister of the bride, and Howard Hveem. bro ther of the groom. The bride was attired in a melon-colored suit with white ac cessories with a corsage of white gardenias. The maid of honor wore a green suit with white ac cessories and a corsage of talis man roses and yellow daisies. The mothers of the bride and groom both wore navy blue and had iden tical corsages of pink and white carnations. The wedding party attended a breakfast at the bride’s home Im medlatelv after the ceremony. A beautifully decorated three-tier white wedding cake was served to the guests from a table decorated with bouquets of snapdragons, sweet peas and daisies. The couple left Sunday morning for a wedding trip through the Black Hills in South Dakota, and through several eastern states. Mr. and Mrs. Hveem will be gone about two weeks, after which they will make their home in Wolf Point. The groom is employed by the Wolf Point Concrete Products compnay and Mrs. Hveem- will continue with her duties as clerk at the Public Drug Co. The bride Is a graduate of the Glasgow high school and the groom attended the Wolf Point schools for a number of years but graduated from the Goodridge, Minn., schools. FORMER TEACHER VISITS Christine Erickson, former mem ber of the Wolf Point faculty, visited friends in Oswego and in Wolf Point this week on her way to attend summer school at Mis soula. Since her stay in Wolf- Point, Miss Erickson has been In Helena nad later was called to Mound, Minn., by the illness of a brother. Wolf Point Man Weds Scobey Girl Sunday, June 9 The wedding, Sunday, June 9, at Scobey, of Mias Lottie M Spear and Clifford M. Hansen was the culmination of a school day ro mance which lasted through a war. The wedding was held at the bride’s home at Scobey at four o clock in Ole afternoon, attended only by relatives. The Reverend Leon Johnson officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore an aqua suit with white accessories with a corsage of white carnations and pink roses. The maid of honor, Thelma Spear, cousin of the bride, wore a gold suit with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. The bride’s mother wore a blue street dress and the groom’s mother a bright rose-colored dress and both wore white carnation corsages. The groom- was attended by his brother, Vernon L. Hansen, of Wolf Point. A five o’clock dinner was held at the bride’s home, attended by Mr. and Mrs. R. F Hansen and sons, Harold and Vernon. Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Spear, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Spear and family, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Spear and family, Mr. J. E. Spear and daughter, Thelma, and the Rev. Leon Johnson. The couple left for a wedding trip through western Montana after which they win be at home to their friends in Wolf Point. Mrs. Hansen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis E. Spear of Scobey and has been employed as bookkeeper In the Citizens State Bank at Stobey. Mr. Hansen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R F Hansen of Wolf Point and is in the Implement business in that city. Both bride and groom are graduates of the Peerless high school. The groom recently return ed after spending twenty months with the U. S. Navy in the Pacific. DINNER GUESTS AT THE JAMES SPRAGUES Mrs. Cliff Devaney and daugh ters and MT. and Mrs. Sam Mc- Donell and daughters were din ner guests last Sunday at the farm home of MT. and Mrs. James Sprague of the north coun try. The dinner was In the nature of a farewell fbr the Devaney’s, who are leaving soon to make their home in Oregon. Mr. Mc- Donell has Just recently returned from Phoenix. Arizona, where he spent the winter months. SURPRISE FAREWELL PARTY ON THEDA MAE BROWN Miss Theda Mhe Brown was pleasantly surprised by twenty young friends who gathered at her home last Saturday evening for a farewell party before her departure next week for Grand Coulee, Washington. The young people brought along a delightfully prepared lunch, part of which was a beautifully decorated friendship cake. They presented their classmate and friend with s lovely gold compact, monogrammed with her name, as a farewell gift. BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR BERNARD IWEN TUESDAY Mrs. Bernard Iwen entertained twenty guests last Tuesday eve ntag at her home In Wolf Point, honoring her husband' on his birthday. She served two excellent birthday cakes to the crowd and Mr. Iwen received several fine gifts from his friends. DINNER GUESTS AT THE REX SPRAGUES Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Tlchenor and son Danny and daughter Beryl were dinner guests at the Rex Sprague home In Wolf Point last Sunday. The Tlchenor family were on their way east to spend a vacation in Minnesota. PETE LARSEN VISITS WOLF POINT FRIENDS Pete Larsen returned for a visit with Wolf Point friends last week end after two years In the U. S. Navy. He is a guest of the Kuro kawas at the present time but will go on to Crosby and to Minot to visit his brother and father. GUESTS AT THE JOHN KLIPPSTEINS Edgar Olson of Duluth, Minn., and Walter Collings and Joe Feist of Williston, N. D„ spent Thurs day of last week visiting at the John Kllppstein home In Wolf Point. MRS. W. L. YOUNG ATTENDS GRADUATION AT GRANVILLE Mrs W L. Young spent last week in Granville, N. D„ where she attended the graduation of her granddaughter, Betty Young. Betty Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Young. MRS. CARL MOE AND DAUGHTER TO MPLS. Mrs. Carl Moe and daughter, LaDonna, left Friday for Minn eapolis where Mrs. Moe will re ceive medical attention and also visit with friends and relatives. Miss Helen Garden left last week for Seattle. Wash, to visit her sister, Harriet, Who Is employ ed there, and word was received by her parents that she has ac cepted a position with the Seattle First National Bank. WOLF POINTERS ATTEND CULBERTSON RNA. MUTT The Vida Royal Neighbor lodge met at the C. R. Casterline -honße in Culbertson Wednesday of last week and a number of Wolf point ers attended. Those who enjoyed the evening there were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dye and Mrs. Howard Hveem, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Farn ham, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Schwin den, Mrs. Al Huber, all of Wolf Point. A large group from the Vida community were present and Mr. and Mrs. E E. Krebsback of Sidney were up for the occasion. Mrs. Henry Casterline and son, Roger, of Kailspell, were also pres l * ent. CLARA LARSON HONORED AT WEDDING SHOWER A bridal shower was held for Clara Larson, Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Martin Berg lee in Brockton. The hostesses were Mesdames Kopitzke, Reum, Berglee and Mina Lauridsen. The home was attractively deco rated with red hearts and white cuplds. Misses Inga and Mabel Larson, sisters of the bride-to-be, sang “Let the Rest of the World Go By” and "Some Sunday Morning.” A delicious lunch was served to the seventy-five guests present. The June bride received many lovely and useful gifts. MR. AND MRS. J. E. MILLER ATTEND WEDDING IN SIDNEY Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Miller attend ed the wedding of Clara Brattln to Gordon Turner at Sidney last Sunday. Miss Brattln is the daugh ter of Mrs. Carl Brattln, a cousin to Mr. Miller. The ceremony was held in the Methodist church Sunday after noon with the Reverend Thurnow officiating. THE GEORGE BECKS VISIT DAUGHTERS Mr. and Mrs. George Beck and daughters, Vonnle and Patty, of the Sand Creek community, left last week for Great Falls where they will visit their daughters, Alice and Dorothy, who are em ployed there, and on to Lewiston for a visit with another daughter, Marian. THE WALT DOLVINS VISIT LOCAL FRIENDS Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dolvin and children of Canon City, Colorado, arrived last week end for a visit at the home of the Misses Mayme and Ada Jacobi. The Dolvins were former Wolf Point business people ■ and have been gone from here for about four years. VISITORS AT THE TOMMY COOK HOMT Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Halin and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cole and ’son, Stanley, all of Cbgswell, N" D„ were visitors at the Tommy Cook home In Wolf Point last week end. AT INFORMAL PARTY Mrs. Parker Eldridge entertain ed last Wednesday evening in honor of Mrs. Harry Bickers, who Is a visitor from the west- coast. The evening was spent In conver sation and the hostess served a delicious lunch. GILLIS STYER HOME FROM SWPA- SERVICI Gillis Styer arrived home this week after many montl» in the South Pacific area with the U. S. Navy. He received his discharge on the west coast, and visited his sister at Watsonville, Calif., be fore coming to Wolf Point. THE CLIFF FRA-NKS MOVE TO BELT Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Frank and daughter left last week for Belt where they will make their future home. Mr. Frank will be in the hardware business with a brother in-law. VERNA LEGARE LEAVES FOR BILLINGS NORMAL Verna Legare left Saturday for Billings where she will enter sum mer school -at the Western Nor mal for a preparatory course for a teaching position next fall. WANDA AMSLER VISITS HERE Miss Wanda Amsler, who is now empolyed in Seattle, Is visiting at the present time at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Edward Stennes, in Wolf Point. Miss Amsler was at one time a resident of Bainville and was employed in Wolf Point for a time before her departure for the west coast. HARVEY BRYAN, JR., HOME FROM NAVY— Harvey Bryan. Jr., arrived in Wolf Point Sunday morning. He received his discharge from the U. S. Navy at Bremerton, Wn., on June Sth. He will spend the sum mer months in Wolf Point Mr. and Mrs. George Loftus and daughter Lenore returned last week from Concordia where Len ore was a graduate with the class of 1946. Miss Margaret Shroeder of Erie, N. D., a classmate of Lenore’s, is a visitor at the Loftus home this week. Mrs. Carl Hill of the Nickwall country left Monday for Polson where she will spend a short while visiting her mother and brothers. Fossen of Grand Forks, N. D„ are in Wolf Point this week. Mr. Fossen is here on business in connection with the state mill and Mrs. Fossen is visit ing relatives and friends. Last Sunday afternoon 35 members of the family and friends gathered at the Wolf Point bridge park for a picnic in honor of the P. R. Foo sen’b. Mr. Fossen is a brother of Martin, and Henry Fossen and Mrs. Ed. Mahlum, Mrs. Melvin Ja cobson and Mrs. Henry Peterson. ♦ VISITOR FROM HINSDALE AT THE MAIR HOME— Mrs. Edwin Mair enjoyed a brief visit from her sister, Mrs. Drabbs, of Hinsdale, Mont., last week end. Mrs. Drabbs was on her home-ward trip from the American Legion con vention in Scobey. FORMER TEACHER VISITS Miss Elsie Johnson, who has been teaching at Newport, Wash., for the past two years, is a guest at the home of Mrs. W. I. Burnl son in Wolf Point. Miss Johnson was a member of the Wolf Point faculty for several years. She will go on from Wolf Point to Duluth to visit her home there.
