Wash. ' The bride, given in marriage by THE HERALD-NEWS — Wolf Point, Roosevelt County, Montana her father, wore a white wool suit with all white accessories and car ried a single purple orchid and a white Bible. Her matron of honor Mrs. Robert Humphreys wore a grey suit with black accessories and a corsage of carnations. The best man was Russell Hum phreys, brother of the groom. The bride is a graduate of the Cheney, Wash, high school but at tended the lower grades In Wolf Point where the Hauges are form er residents. She has been em ployed by the Cheney Branch bank for the two years slncd her gradua tion. Mr. Humphreys is the son of Mr and Mrs Mrs. B. P. Mumphreys of Sheridan Park, Bremerton. He has recently received his discharge from the Navy after over three years service. A reception followed the cere mony at the Humphreys home at tended by the wedding party and relatives and close friends. The couple went to Island Lake for a short honeymoon after which they will be at home to their friends on the bay near Bremer ton. Mr. Humphreys will attend col lege in California in the fall. Mr. and Mrs. W. Hauge drove out to Bremerton for their daughter’s wedding. MISCELLANEOUS SHOWER FOR MRS. WILLIS LEE The Matejovsky home in Wolf Point was the scene of a post-nupt ial shower for Mrs. Willis Lee on Monday evening of this week. Mrs. Matejosky, Mrs. W. A. Felck, Mrs Lionello Battani, Mrs. F. J. Neut gens, Mrs. T. R. Kelly and Mrs. J. B. Kemp were hostesses. They ser ved delicious angel food topped with strawberries and cream with coffee The recently-married Mrs. Lee received many beautiful gifts. MRS. WILLIS LEE HONORED AT POST NUPTIAL SHOWER Mrs. Willis Lee, nee Betty Fitz Simmons, was guest of honor at a miscellaneous bridal shower Wed nesday evening of this week at the Grayson home. Miss Hope Casey and Miss Varian Grayson were the hostesses. There were 15 girls in vited and they enjoyed the get together and the fine lunch served by the hostesses. Mrs. Lee was the recipient of many lovely and useful gifts. FAREWELL PARTY FOR HOPE CASEY Miss Hope Casey who left last weekend for Bozeman was honored at a farewell handkerchief shower last Thursday evening. Twelve of her friends gathered at the Paul Nygaard home and enjoyed a so cial evening. A delicious picnic sup per was served on the lawn of the Nygaard home, by the hostesses Lyla Nygaard, Betty Neutgens and Harriet Green. 3- M. Ainsworths Celebrate Golden Wedding Friday Mr. and Mrs. Seth M. Ainsworth of Wolf Point celebrated their gold en wedding anniversary last Fri day evening with a dinner party held at the Wolf Point case club rooms. Only the family and a few close friends were present. 1 Mrs. Martin Mitchell had decorat ed the tables with yellow roses and spring flowers and the golden motif was carried out in the favors, nut cups and in the decoration of the golden wedding cake. Tall yellow tapers lighted the tables. The guests presented the couple with gifts, among which was a beautiful gold-based table lamp. Seth M. Ainsworth and Harriet Belle Bassett were married June 21 1896 at Olweln, lowa. By some strange quirk of fate, they had been bom within 11 days of one another on lowa farms just a mile apart The Bassetts moved away while Mrs Ainsworth was still an Infant and the young people never met until they were grown and Mrs. Bassett and the children returned to Ar lington, lowa after her husband's death. Mr. Ainsworth has spent thirty two years of his life in the employ of the U. S. Fisheries. They have lived at hatcheries in Leadville, Col orado, Spearfish, South Dakota, Put in Bay, Ohio, Northville, Michigan Charlevoix, Michigan, Bozeman Montana and for the 14 years prior to his retirement in 1938, he held YOU MAY MAKE THESf HEADLINES. .'. County Couple Wed At Springs Bible Camp Sunday By Bainville Correspondent Miss Dorothy De Tienne, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin De Tienne was united In marriage to Mr. John Bilyeu of Wolf Point, at the Bubbling Springs Bible camp on Sunday, June 23rd, after morning services. The single ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. D Simpson of Culbertson. The bride wore a medium blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of American beauty roses She was given in marriage by hei father, Martin De Tienne.
