Carl Holtberg went to Glasgow Saturday morning to meet Mra Holtberg, who recently underwent an operation for gallstones at Rochester. Mrs. Holtberg visited her sister in Minneapolis a week before coming home. The Lades Aid is sponsoring a banquet Monday evening for the Senior League members at the Lutheran church basement, this being Pocket Testament’ Week. Adkins and family were Sunday dinner guests at the Nick Peters home. Christmas Seals Will Soon Be Sent to County Residents The county supply of 1946 Christ mas Seals, which will be sold throughout the nation in the 40th annual Seal Sale opening Novem ber 25 and continuing until Christ mas, have arrived, Cathryn Haas, Seal Sale Chairman, has announc ed. Volunteer workers will in a short time begin folding the Seals for insertion in envelopes address ed to residents of the county. The Seals are annually distributed by mall to raise funds for the county wide program of the Tuberculosis Association. While the 1946 Christmas Seal features a lamplighter, symbolic of the returning hope of the world after the darkness of war, and was designed by Lloyd Coe, well known landscape artist and illus trator, each sheet of 100 Seals has four special portrait Seals to commemorate the United States. Proceeds from the Christmas Seal Sale are the sole support of the Tuberculosis Association. Of the funds raised, 95 per cent will be used within the state for local and state-wide campaigns against tuberculosis. The remaining 5 per cent will be forwarded to the Na tional Tuberculosis Association to support services performed on a national level to further tubercu losis control. Mr. and Mrs. Oasis Gagne were in town Saturday. They recently returned from an extended trip into Canada and the western part of the state.
