Page Four Frazer Couple Wed At Glasgow Manse On August 24th The wedding of Miss Patricia Chehey, daughter of Mr. and J. J. Chehey of Anaconda, and Henri E. Dassonville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul J. Dassonville of Frazer, took place at the home of Rev. Altman at Glasgow at seven thirty In the evening, August 24th. Attendants were Mr. and Mm Joseph Rastetter. The bride chosK for her marriage dress a gray gab ardine suit with gray and light blue accessories with a corsage of /Xmerican beauty roses. The matron of honor wore a deep aqua dress' with gold accessories and had a corsage of talisman roses. Present for the wedding supper held at the Allen Qafe besides the members of the wedding party were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Berge. The newly weds will make their heme at Frazer. The bride is a member of the Frazer faculty and the groom is a rancher. MIKE STYER LEAVES FOR CALIFORNIA UNIVERSITY COURSE Michael Styer son of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Styer of Wolf Point left Thursday morning for the west coast where he will enter the Un iversity of Santa Clara for an en gineering course. Previous to the opening of school he will visit his sister Carol at Watsonville, Calif. EINAR LUNDS LEAVE ON TRIP EAST Mr. and Mrs. Einar Lund and daughter Ruth Elaine left Tuesday for Minneapolis where they will visit relatives. They were accom panied as far as Bismarck by Miss* Doris Derlin who has been a guest of Marilyn Gillette for the past, two weeks. C., and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Walker of Poplar were dinner guests Wednesday evening at the Mrs. Martin Mitchell and Mrs. Hattie Towns home in Wolf Point. The Logans were on their way to Oakland, Calif., to visit their daughter Jean and other rel atives with stop overs in Poplar to visit Mrs. Walker. (Mrs. Logan.s sister) and in Spokane where they will look after farming Interests. -^Mrs. Walker joTbud-ttnsui. on their journey and Mr. Walker who was attending the Masonic Lodge in Great Falls, accompanied them to her former home at Kettle Falls, Wash., for a visit. Mr. Walker will return after a brief stay at Spo kane and Mrs. Walker will continue on with the Logans to California. MRS O. THORNBURG HAS HAS EXTENDED VACATION Mrs. Olive Thornburg returned Monday evening after visiting her daughters at Culbertson and Cir cle following an extended vacation trip wth* stops at Seattle, Portland and Spokane where she was a guest at the homes of her brothers and sisters and an aunt and uncle. She reports that she suffered no hot weather until her return and highlights of her trip included such things as a dip in the Pacific and a picnic at Mt. Hood. RELATIVES VISIT AT ANDERSON HOMES Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Diedrich and four children of SL Paul, Minn., and his mother, Mrs. Lena Maynard of Leng Prairie, Minn., surprised Mr. Deidrich’s aunt, Mrs. Emma Anderson of Wolf Point on Tues day evening. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson (Mrs. Thorsen’s sis ter) in Sidney and at the homes of Mr. Thorsen’s parents, the Martin Thorsens of Fairview. They enjoy ed a visit with his youngest bro ther and wife of Oklahoma City. A family reunion was held there Sunday. DELEGATES RETURN FROM ATTENDING GRAND CHAPTER Mrs. Willard Butzlaff, Mrs. A. C. Terpe and Mrs. Boyd Taylor of Wolf Point returned Sunday from attending the Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star held at Great Falls, Aug. 21-22 and 23. They report a very beautiful and instructive session and a good trip. Gordon Terpe who had been visiting in Helena returned with them. HELEN GESS WILL SPEAK AT F. U. MEETING There will be a Farmers Union Meeting Friday evening. August 29th at the Farmers Union Hall in Wolf Point at 8 o'clock. Miss Helen Gess will speak on the Cit izenship Encampment which she recently attended in New York. All are welcome to attend what pro mises to be an interesting and in structive meeting. MRS. O. J. NORBY ARRIVES FOR EXTENDED VISIT | Mrs. O. J. Norby of Bagley, Minn. I arrived Friday morning for an extended visit at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. C. Hanson of ; Wolf Point. Mrs. Norby has visited in this city several times and has j many friends to welcome her back । again. BOBBY KEMP HOST AT WEINER ROAST Young Bobby Kemp, son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Kemp was host to a small group of boy friends last Tuesday evenipg at a weiner roast held in the Kemps back lawn wihch is complete with fireplace and ac comodations for a picnic. The boys all were enthusiastic about the affair. GLEN LENHARTS LEAVE FOR SERVICE REUNION Mr. and Mrs. Glen Lenhart left Tuesday morning for West Yelow stene where a reunion is being held by the World War II buddies of Lenhart’s company. After the re union the Lenharts’ will visit with relatives in the western part of the state before their return. VERA LYNN WEST HAS THEATRE DINNER PARTY ON BIRTHDAY Miss Vera Lynn West was hos tess to several friends on Sunday, August 24th at a Matinee and din ner party in celebration of her birthday. Those present besides the hostess were Ramona Marquardt, Kathleen Dougherty, Patsy Sulli van and Darlene Wolf. WOLF POINT COUPLES ATTEND MDU PICNIC L. F. Bruggeman and wife and Mr. and Mrs. E. Birkmaier of the Wolf Point Montana-Dakota Utili ties office attended an MDU picnic given by the Glasgow office at Fort Peck Sunday. The fishing was good and the group reports a fine get to-gether. Guests were the mem bers of the Camrud Motors staff and their wives and after the din ner the group viewed some movies put out by the Dodge truck and Motor Co. NEUTGENS VISIT FR. SHEVLIN ON TRIP Mrs. Hazel Netugens and daugh ter Betty and Patsy and son Dickie returned Monday evening from a vacation trip spent visiting rela tives in Shelby and Cutbank. They returned by the south route and stopped for a brief” visit with Fa ther Shevlin at Columbus and the Kermit Johnsons at Forsyth. The former Wolf Point people sent greetings to their friends in this community. MRS. JOE CAMRUD RETURNS FROM TRIP TO NORWAY Mrs. Joe Camrud returned Thurs day from Norway where she spent the summer months visiting her, parents and other relatives. She reports that the trip was wonderful and she enjoyed seeing her people again and finding them in good health after the war scourge but says that Montana is the best and only place for her now. TAYLOR FAMILY REUNION HELD SUNDAY AT RANCH Mrs. C. D Taylor, the Boyd, Reid, John and Charles Taylor families and Mrs. Funk and children gath ered at the Taylor home ranch last Sunday for an informal reunion and dinner. O. C. JOHNSON IN GREAT FALLS HOSPITAL O. C. Johnson left Friday for Great Falls to receive medical at tention at the clinic and has been hospitalized there. His condition is about the same at last reports. INFORMAL BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION FOR DR. J. C. MOSES A small group of friends gath ered for cards and refreshments at the home of Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Moses last Friday evening in cele bration of the Doctor’s birthday. “WELCOME BACK” PARTY FOR THE “BOOTS” PETERSONS Friends gathered at the apart ment home of Mr. and Mrs. “Boots” Peterson’ last Thursday evening to welcome the newly weds home. A social time was enjoyed and re freshments were served. Switzers who plan to leave this week for their new home in Colorado, w^re guests of honor at a big picnic held Sunday after noon at the Bridge Park. An en joyable time was had by all and a silver offering was given to the Switzets to buy something for their new home. BABY SHOWER FOR MRS. JOHN WIMMER Mrs. John Wimmer and baby daughter were honor guests at a shower given by Mrs. A. R. Klatte and Mrs. Jim Dolven at the Cal Rogers home last Thursday even ing.
