The rooms were painted, the ploors var allhed which put the school build ing .in fine shape for the coming year. Mr. I. Reddig and Mr. Orren Keeler spent the summer working on the school, assisted by Marvin Dilbeck, also a new hardwood gym nasium floor. The returning teach ers are: Mrs. Evelyn Mason, Ist and Ind grades; Mrs. Helen Peters, 3rd and 4th grades; Mrs. Blanch Walton 7th and Bth grades; Mrs. Ferd Dec er, English; Mr. Kesler, Math and Bcience.... Mr. Dempsey, Supt. Com mercial and coach. The new teach ers are: Miss Strese 4th and 6th grades; Mr. Conwell; 6th Isaac Reddig, Custodian of the building. Donald Stratton will drive the school bus; Mrs. Cecil Sassen mat ron at the dormitory. Mr. and Mrs. Alex La Rocque were Fort Peck callers Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Foster re turned home with them Sunday returning Monday. A surprise ink and blue shower Was given for Mrs. De lorme at the Milton Forbes hortie Monday after noon. Games with prizes and lunch Was served. She received lovely gifts. Mrs. Jessie entertained for her granddaughter Bonnie Peters on her 10th birthday Thursday afternoon a few of her friends: Deanna Dahl. Vivian Bridges, Joy and Mary Sue Holtberg, Janice Dassonville, Ina Mae Thoma, Rachel Brooks, John nie Lee Stratton and Ricky Quiring. The birthday cake and lunch was served. Adrian Erickson run a cement slab for his new garage. Mr. and Mrs. Antop Abraham and Carl Presser had some more sewer lines added to the already modern town of Presserville. Mr. Louis Green of Wolf Point done the work. Add Lunde left Wednesday morn ing for Missoula, Washington and plans on bringing back a load of lumber from the western part of the state. Mr. and Mrs. Mayneard Cellmer, her mother and the girls, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Stan Patch and children were via* itors at the fair Wednesday. Edward Hodges and Lloyd Falls well were visitors in this community Thursday. Edward is from Seattle, but was formerly of south of Brock ton. Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Antensen and Raymond and their niece June were shoppers in Sidney Friday. The Antonsen twins spent tha weekend visiting their grandmothar and aunt in Culbertson. A card party and dance was held at the school hoiHu/ Saturday. Tha high prizes were won by Mr. Ever ett Baxter and Ira Palmer, the low prizes were won by Maynard and Mrs. Everett Baxter. A good time was bad by those who attended. Mr. and Mrs. Mose Howard and Myrna were Sunday visitors at tha Stan Patch home. Dormer Glyshaw drove the sohool bus to Sidney Tuesday and took the 4H club boys and girls to the fair* The girls won several cash prizes and ribbons on articles of clothing which they made and exhibited* Mrs. Glyshaw, Mrs. Peck, and Mrs. L*. C. Kelly accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Thor from north of Minot were guests at the Sig Jensen home last week. Mrs. Hayes is moving to Poplar thte week where she will teach this term. Word has been received that Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Leuenberger arrived safely in Phoenix, Arizona. Pete Melby accompanied his ne phew back to Wisconsin last week, where he will make his home. Mrs. Everett Hos land and Mre. Smith spent a few days in Miles City last week. The McClellan’s attended the fair in Glendive Saturday. Axel Eriskson, 110 Peck, and Walter Schillinger are driving new cars. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Beck, the Art Mossestads and Berreths anu Paul Schillingers were among the Vida people attending the fair ai Sidney. The Dormer Glyshaw family re turned to their home in Billings the first of the week. Mrs. Joe Schillinger, Mrs. Allan Schillinger and Mrs. Welter Schlh inger attended the wedding shower in honor of Bernadette Uappa in Circle Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Van Atia left this week on a vacation trip to Missoula and Billings where they will visit relatives. A pleasant afternoon was spent at the Vida hall, Sunday. The&c casion being the 4H club achieve ment day. The boys and girls put on an interesting program, and the girls exhibited the articlesof cloth ing they had made. A potluck lunch was enjoyed at one o’clock. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth SchllUager went to Glasgow Thursday after who arrived on the streamliner from noon to meet Miss Esther Sofclbei Seattle and spent several days at the Schillinger home. Harold Eggebrecht moved hla family to Wolf Point last week. The Bert Bogars and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ahrens are spending a few days in Billings this week.
