Commissioner Welnrich offered the following Resolution 'and moved that said Resolution he adopted, which was seconded by Commis sioner Peterson and Chairman Nees called for a vote on said Resolution, and all members voted “\YE.” RESOLUTION “Be it Resolved, that the County Assessor is hereby ordered to levy a per capita poor tax of $2.00 per head for the year of 1950, on all residents of the county, between the ages of twenty-one (21) and sixty (60) years of age. except those exempted by law. for the support and maintenance of the indigent sick and otherwise dependent poor of the County.” On motion duly passed, the res ignation of Reba L. Burright. as Home Demonstration Agent of Roose velt County, effective December 27th. 1949, was approved and ordered filed. At 1:30 o’clock P.M.. the Board met as a Board of Public Welfare, with all members, clerk and Welfare Supr. present. Welfare matters occupied the at tention of the Board until 5:00 o’clock P.M.. at which time the Board ad journed. December Bth, 1949 The Board met at' 10:00 o’clock A.M.. with all members and clerk present. A delegation met with the Board regarding the County Library. Main tenance and the appointment of a librarian were discussed. On motion duly passed, the County Treasurer’s report for the month of Oct. 1949 was approved and ordered filed. On motion duly passed, the Clerk was Instructed to post notices for a Special meeting of the Board on December 20th, 1949, commencing at 10:00 o’clock A.M., for the purpose of meeting as a Welfare Board and any other business that might come before it. On motion duly passed, Mrs. R. L. Ewing of Wolf Point. Montana, was employed as County Librarian, ef fective December 9th, 1949, salary $150.00 per month. On motion duly passed, the Clerk w r as instructed to publish Notice of Abandonment of Road as follows: NOTICE OF HEARING ON ABANDONMENT OF COUNTY ROAD WHEREAS, a Petition for Aban donment of Road, beginning at the Northwest \guarter corner of Section 23, thence south along section lines for a distance of 2y* miles to the mid-section line of section 35. (more specifically described as the north west the southwest quar ter of section 35). Township 30 N., Range 46, E. M. M.. was on the 4th day of August, 1949, presented to the Board of County Commissioners of Roosevelt County. Montana, pray ing for abandonment of the above described road.
