The hall mas appropriately dec- I orated with white streamers and silver bells, and the head table with 1 bouquets of white pom-poms and silver bells, pink and silver candles, with a four-tiered wedding cake in the center. 1 . Seated at this table were the THE HERALD-NEWS, Woll Point, Roosevelt County, Montana guests of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Nelson, their son, Carl, their daugh ters, I>orraine Ostby and Jean Gangstad and their families, Mr. Burton Ostby, Larry and Glenn; Mr. Hardin Gangstad and Jerry. Mrs. Nelson was attired in a dark green dress and black hat, and wore a corsage of carnations and roses which was given her by her four grandchilden. The other tables were decorated with white candles in silver candlcbra, pink and white flow’ers, and were set for about 90 guests. Mrs. Jim Ostby was in charge of the guest book. O. Leon Anderson, of Sidney, act ed as toastmaster, and after a few appropriate remarks, Gordon An derson, accompanied Uy Mary Loucks at the piano, led in com munity singing, as the group was seated. During the dinner which was served by a committee of tour teen, the following program was given. “Because” vocal solo by G. N. Anderson; “Marriage and After” a reading by Eugene Knick; a short talk by Fay Crusch; “My Ixind. What a Wedding!” humorous mon ologue by Mrs. Fred Wheeler; an original poem, composed and read by Mrs. H. Christos fersen, and community singing. At the request of Toastmaster Anderson, Jack Hurley, Goodwin Bergh and Holger Christoffersen responded with impromptu speech es. After the program, the toast master presented the happy couple with a gift of cash, which they very graciously accepted with thanks and appreciation. Robert Stock took pictures as the couple cut the wedding cake which was served with coffee, and many guests remained for a social evening. Mr. Nelson has been active in civic and school affairs, was on the School Board for 12 years, is secre tary-treasurer of the Froid-Bain ville-Culbertson Soil Conservation District, and is rural mail carrier for Foid Route 2. Those from out of town attending the affair were: Mr. and Mrs. Vic tor Johnson of Homestead, Mr. and Mrs. O. Leon Anderson of Sidney, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Crusch of Bain ville, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Maston of Culbertson, Mi. and Mrs. Jack Hurley and Mrs. H. Firstbrook of Williston and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rygg of McCabe. Attend Tractor School John Tymofichuck and Rudy Spitzer returned this week from Billings where they attended a 5- day tractor and implement main tainance school conducted by the John Deere manufactcring com pany. They represented Wolf Point Implement Co., at the school. ART DISCUSSION SUBJECT CIVIC WOMEN S CLUB A discussion of art, led by Mrs. Mary Welsch, guest speaker, made up the program for the regular meeting of the Wolf Point Women's Civic club last week. Mrs. Welsch spoke on art, cover ing the painting of china, oil paint ings, copper and plaster work. She displayed her oil paintings and her china, explaining how it was done.
