Page Two Wolf Point Local and Social News Senior Women Hear Report of Progress On Public Health The Wo'ir Point Senior Woman's Club met in the basement of the Presbyterian church Monday Sept ember 24 with Mrs. Fred Willough by . presiding. Mrs. John McLachlan, club repre sentative, gave a report on the public, health meeting held in Pop lar. Miss Phillips commented on seme phases of the work. The president repored that near ly all the leaders for the Girl Scouts had been secured and the work is progressing Mrs. Mary bunton stated that the rummage, sale will be held at the Chevrolet garage on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday September 26, 27 and 28. Committees were appointed ror eadh day. Mrs. O. L. Jarrell, delegate to District 5 convention, spoke briefly of the work done there. Members were informed that the club’s friendship scrapbook, com pleted by Mrs. O. C. Group singing was led by Mrs. Pearl Har low. The 1951-52 yearbooks were also distributed to the women who were I present. They were made by Mrs. 1 O. L. Jarrell and Mrs. Fred Krauth. It was also guest night and seve ral ladies joined the club. Lunch was served by the host esses Mesdames Styer. Casey and Bryan. Shower Given For Mrs. Raymond Hickel A pink and blue shower was given for Mrs. Raymond Hickel Wednesday, September 26 at the Kathleen Dougherty home. Hos tesses were Miss Dougherty and Mrs. Helen Heier. About 16 friends attended. A lunch was served. DAUGHTER BORN Word has been received that Mr. and Mrs. Dave Conroy have a baby daughter born September 13. She weighed 6 pound and 12 ounces. Washington was visiting friends in Wolf Point. Mrs. H. J. Langager spent four day's in Great Falls visiting rela tives last week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ahrens at । tended the "Mission Feast" Sunday at Presserville. Mr. and Mis. Lyman Clayton. Jr. made a business trip to Minnea polis last week. Mrs. Elmer Cecile of Williston left Monday after visiting her mother. Mrs. C. Bennett. Mr and Mrs. Eddie Delger and family visited the Clifford Olsons in Poplar Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Vine of Circle, spent the weekend with Mrs. Emma Anderson. Glenn Freman is home on a week furlough. He will leave Thursday morning for Arizona. Mrs. Elsie Fuller of Poplar vis ited her brother Ted McNeil at Fort Peck this weekend. Virginia Barnes left Tuesday for the Northeast Institue of Medical Technology in Minneapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bushman and Allen were dinner guests at the Wayne Brown home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Arrivee, spent the weekend in Miles City. Montana visiting her Mother and Aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Heinecke of Helena visited at the A. V. Appel gren home over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Wolff and son Kenny of Gillete, Wyo. called on the Rex Sprague's Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Leßoy Cody and girls left Saturday to spend the winter in San Francisco, California. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Ault are on a vacation visiting friends and relatives in Cavalier. North Dakota. Visitors at the Styer home last Friday were Mrs. R. Porsborg. Mrs. J. Steen. Mrs. Grace Alvarod all Glasgow. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Spencer left Friday for a trip to Fergus Falls. Minn, and several other points in Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Miller went to Fort Peck Sunday. John and Lawrence Swoboda were in Wolf Point Saturday. Cathleen Schreiber was a dinner guest of Carla Molzhon last week. The Degreee of Honor will meet at the Korner Klub at 8 October 3 • Pvt. Curtis W. Moe is expected home this weekend from Fort Bliss, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ahlberg are on a vacation in Western Mon tana and in Idaho. Clark and Cifford Johnson and Tommy Hagen of Poplar were in Wolf Point Saturday. Dr. and Mrs. K W. Sorensen were weekend visitors in Sidney, Where Dr Sorensen went hunting. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Olsen and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olson went to Fort Peck Sunday to go fishing. Mrs. J. T. Brownlee. Mrs C. Mawhinney. and Miss Cathrine Hass were in Poplar Saturday afternoon. Mrs. L. L. Bleakley is visiting at the home of Morris Listrud. Mrs. Bleakley is from Glendive. Mont. Mr. and Mrs. John Engstrom from Florence. Oregon were over night guests at the Roy Hansen home Monday. Mrs. W. Kurtz. Dr. Steffen of Glasgow was in Wolf Point Saturday. He came here to get his daughter who has been staying with Mrs. Bob Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. John Shaw of Seat tle. Washington, visited in Wolf Point this past week. Mrs. Shaw is a sister to Mrs. Anfen Martin. Miss Helen Gilbertson left Mon day for her home in Towner, North Dakota after spending a week vis- iting her sister Mrs. Harry Ned rud. Mrs. Theodore Lee returned Wed nesday evening from Great Falls, Where she has been going through the clinic. She is feeling somewhat better. Mrs. May Hutton left Monday morning fur her home in Wahpe ton, North Dakota. She spent two weeks visiting at the P. M. Feda home. Mrs. Porsburg, Mrs. J. Steen, Mrs. Grace Alvarod, Mrs. George Bar wise, Mrs. J. T. Brownlee, and Mrs. E. B. Styer went to Scobey Friday. Mrs. Einar Lund, accompanied by her daughters Dr. Naomi Gene and Ruth Elaine and Miss Patricia Smith, left on Monday of last week for Minneapolis and North field. Minnesota.
