Bout With Polio
Mrs. Barbara Gilligan, long-time
local resident, writes lately from
2MB Alki, Seattle that her grand-
OOUghter, Diane Suggett, recently
had bulbar polio in the throat but
to all right now again. Mr. and Mrs
Bill Suggett (nee Irma Gilligan)
Ncently moved from Seattle to
Minneapolis where he is now em
■pands fost of her time looking at
talevision, enjoying a few plays,
and visiting her children ana her
grandchildren in Seattle. She also
says she misses her Brockton
fnends and school children, after
teaching her for 30 odd years.
New Teacher
Mrs. Lettie Wesen of Sidney is
now teaching the Ruffatto school

Returning From Korea
Pfc. Dale Rongstad, son of Mrs.
Pete Nelson, is expected back in
the States any day from Japan. He
was wounded in the hand in Korea
and has been in a hospital in Ja
pan. Rongstad expects to be dis
charged at Fort Lewis and be
home for Christmas.
Lowell Qualley was among those
from Lambert taking in the basket
ball game here on Saturday when
: Brockton defeated the Lambert
I Lions.

Bonnie Von Ruden celebrated her
sixth birthday on December 4th
with several small friends assisting
her with fun and food. Those
spending the afternoon at the Von
Ruden home were Mrs. Sam Ny
gard and James, Betty, and Robert
Nygard , Mrs. Arvid Dahlberg.

Mrs. Leonard Kallevig was a
shopper in Sidney Monday.
Mrs. Grant Smith of Helena ar
rived by train Friday to spend sev
eral days here and in Poplar.
Mrs. Ervin Nelson has written
recently from 411 Livingston. Mis
soula, about her family and that
all are getting along fine. She asks
for her former friends here to stop
by for a cup of coffee any time
they may be in Missoula.

Olson) and her brother, Kenneth
Olson, were the honored guests at
a friendly get together held Mon
day evening at the Stanley He’.t
man home.
The evening was spent playing
progressive whist at which top
prizes went to George Shanks and
Mrs. Jim Elgie. low pribes to Mrs
Pete Nelson and Stanley Hettman.

They are spending several weeks

were all dinner guests on Monday

went an arm operation in the Trin
ity hospital in Minot and writes
that he is getting along fine.
