Two Deadlines Drawing Near On Conservation For those who arc taking part in the 1952 Agricultural Conserva tion program, December 31 is the final day for carrying out approved soil and water conservation practic es, according to chairman Walter R. Scott, of the county production and marketing administration com mittee. Only those practices com pleted by that date will be eligible to earn payment under the cur rent program. Operators will be given 15 days, or until January la. 1953, to report to the county PM A office on the extent to which ap proved practices were actually car ried out during the year. For all farmers and ranchers in the county, December 31 is the final date to sign a Farm Work Sheet indicating an intention to participate in the 1953 conserva tion program. The ACProgram is open to every operator. PMA committeemen have been calling on their farm neighbors during the last few weeks to help them determine which conservation problems are most urgent and ex plaining how ACP assistance may be used to work out those proD lems. He was caught selling liquor to Indian wards. Sayer was arraigned Saturday morning by I. L. Ramstad, U. S. commissioner, who placed Sayer under $1,500 bond and ordered him held in the Valley county jail in Glasgow until the next session of the district federal court The arrest was made at the Rachel Dionne home in Poplar by Special Officer Walter H. Willett of Billings, Officer Hillery A. Brown of Poplar, and Officer Cal vin Yellow Robe of Wolf Point. Fort Peck Tribe's General Council Meets January 3 The general council for the Fort Peck tribes will meet on January 3 at l pm in the Indian gymnasium hall instead of the regular date of December 27. according to William C. Construction on the six buildings in the new camp are complete ex cept for painting the interiors. The camp consists of five, three bed room living units and an office building. The office building con sists of six offices, a reception room and two bathrooms. However, the date that the Mur phy Oil corporation will move their offices to the new building is not known, because of a delay in the installation of telephones. They can not move their offices to the nevf building until telephones are in stalled, Mylam said.
