Plans Card Party
For Youth Funds
Ths Women’s Civic Club has
scheduled a Youth Activity Fund
card f>arty on Friday, Nov. 19, be
gim^g at 8 p.m. in the Elks Hall.
Prize* will be awarded in whist,
bridge and canasta, in addition to
the door prize.
Th( admission price of SI.OO will
include lunch. Proceeds will be ap
pliedttoward the skating rink proj
ect. •

groups with the Christmas treats
for youngsters. Bemette Casey as

mental hospital.
Eight new members were wel
comed into the club. Lunch and

BARBARA HANSON JOINS
CHOIR AT CONCORDIA
Barbara Hanson, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. W. C. Hanson, Wolf Point,
has been selected as a member qf
Concordia College Chapel Choir,
Moorhead, Minn., according to an
announcement by Earnest N. Har
ris, director.
The first appearance of the choir
will be at the annual Christmas
concert Dec. 10, 11 and 12. The
Chapel Choir will also present a
concert next spring in conjunction
with the Women’s Choir which is
also under direction of Harris.
SECOND BIRTHDAY
CELEBRATED SATURDAY
Karen Rotheisler celebrated her
second birthday with a party held
at the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Peter Rotheisler last Sat
urday afternoon. The room was
decorated with balloons and lunch
was served. Karen received many
gifts. Guests were Ricky and David
Burt .Howard and Mary Smith,
Timothy and Randy Johannes, Car
oline Olson and Kiyo Lynn Har
ada. All mothers were also pre
sent.

have been accepted as pledges of
the Alpha Zeta Society for women.
They are enrolled as freshmen at
Jamestown College, Jamestown,
N. D. Rush week was climaxed by
pledge parties on Nov. 6.

HONORED AT SHOWER
Mrs. Payton Terry was honored
at a pink and blue shower last
Friday evening at the home of
Mrs. Henry H. Arndt witn Mrs.
L. R. Hovey, co-hostess. The eve
ning was spent playing cards and
in a social visit. The guest of
honor received many gifts. Lunch
was served. Guests were Mrs.
Jim Terry, Mrs. Frank Harada,
Mrs. Don Zimmerman, Mrs. H. J.
Langager, Mrs. Floyd Whitmus,
Mrs. Alfred O. Johnson, Mabel
Hackley, Mrs. H. J. Borge and
Mrs. Buddy Smith.
BROWNIE TROOP
ENTERTAINS MOTH<flfl
Brownie Troop No. 7 entertained
their mothers at a tea in the club
room at the Lowell Burnison home
last Monday following school.
Fourteen members were awarded
their Brownie pins.
A pantomine of the First
Thanksgiving was presented by the
troop. ,
Project work was on display for
all mothers to observe. Leaders
for this troop are Mrs. Al Nelson,
Mrs. Norman Berg and Mrs. Lowell
Burnison.
ATTEND SCOTTISH RITE
ACTIVITIES IN GREAT FALLS
Among the many who took the
Scottish rites in Great Falls and
the Shrine rites in Helena last
week were A. O. Opgrande. Wolf
Point, Dave Dick, Four Buttes,
and Mike Traynor, Peyton Ben
nett, Joe Dixon, James Melena,
Roy Killenbeck and Hub Ames
all of Scobey.

Lee of Richey spent the week-end

John Heiland, Poplar, visited at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred

and shopping in Great Falls, Mont.

the Ben Harada apartment were

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Montgomery
are returning today after a ten
day trip to Boise, Idaho, where
they visited Harvey Montgomery.
