THURSDAY, MARCH 24, 1955 Vida Community Mr. and Mrs. Edward Casterline are visiting relatives in Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nefzger entertained at dinner Sunday in honor of the Ray Nefzger’s twelfth wedding anniversary and Clarence Nefzger’s birthday. Those present were the Earl Nefzgers, of Frazer, the Joe Knutson family of Froid, Ray and Betty Nefzger. Bob Hayes, who has been attend jn,; the winter session at college in Great Falls, returned Saturday for the farming season. Congratulations to William Whit mus who is one of two 4-H club members chosen from Montana to attend the summer conference of the American Institute of co-opera tion at the Purdue University, La fayette, Ind., in August. jean Kelly came home Thursday evening for a few days vacation from the Northern Montana col lege at Havre. The Kenneth Schillingers were weekend visitors at the Albert Maves home west of Circle. Mr. and Mrs. Adam Remmich were Sunday callers at the Ed Casterline home. The Johnny Eggebrechts have been enjoying a trip to San Fran cisco and other points in Cal ifornia. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn McFarlane of the Sand Creek community were recent callers at the Clar ence Brown home. Alex Lumsden made a business trip to New Jersey where he also visited at the home of his daugh ter. Sunday visitors at the L. C. The Kwandy young people took Jean Kelly along back to Havre where they all attend college. The Florendale Red Cross had an all-day meeting at the Harold Ol son home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Hans Anderson of Wolf Point returned recently from a trip to Missoula and Kalispell and were Tuesday callers at the Boots Erickson home. Art Eynon, who was passing through Vida the other day, stop ped to greet some of his old friends and also looked over the new store building. Jim Tingler was a business call er in Glasgow one day last week. Wesley Seebart, who has spent the past severals weeks at the Fred Seebart home, left last week for Alaska. Bud Erickson and Odd Lunde recently received their Ham radio operators licenses from the Federal Communications Dept A number of Vida people attend ed the Concert series program in Wolf Point Tuesday evening. Mrs. Gottlieb Schock, Jr., visited her mother Mrs. L. C. Kelly in the hospital at Circle Wednesday aft ernoon. Friday evening callers at the Walter Schillinger home were the Albert Loendorfs and the Allan Schillinger family. George Dyer spent the weekend with Teddy Leuenberger. Mrs. Louise Eggebrecht returned to Billings recently from British Columbia where she visited the Mcßains. Rev. and Mrs. Cantelon, Wolf Point, and Rev. and Mrs. Olson were Thursday evening supper guests at the Dan Sievers home. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Marsh, of the Cow Creek community, returned Thursday from their winter trip to Florida and other southern states. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Engen were Sunday visitors at the Jess Sille rud home. The Melvin Leuenbergers, Mr. and Mrs. Dun Sievers were sup per guests of the Earl Nefzgers at Frazer Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Casterline and girls were Sunday callers at the Ray Marsh's. Quite a number from this com munity attended funeral services for Rasmus Harvorson at Wolf Point Thursday. Dinner guests of the Kenneth Schillingers on Saturday were the Bill Novaks, of Fort Peck and V. Connor, of Walla Walla, Wash. Mrs. L. C. Kelly, who was a patient at the Circle hospital for two weeks, was able to come home on Thursday but will be confined to her bed for several weeks. Rev. Bertsch spent a few days at Bismarck last week. Mrs. Leonard Singleton of Wolf Point, Mrs. Doris Bjorke of Bill ings, and the Harvey Neufelds, Wolf Point, were supper guests of the Ed Schillingers on Sunday. A number of peope of the com munity met with Cornelia Robin son at Vida on Friday afternoon to make plans for the X-ray in April. Bud Erickson took time out in Trinity hospital over the weekend with an infection in his hand. Rev. Ewert and family, of Wolf Point, and the Martin Leuenberg ers were supper guests at the Odd Lunde home Wednesday evening. A number of ladies of the com munity spent a social afternoon with Mrs. Harold Olson Thursday.
