Page Two Wolf Point Local and Social Items Style Show Deemed Successful; BPWC Election April 6 The Eighth Annual Style Show held Friday evening. March 25. was considered a success in spite of the loss of attendance because of in clement weather. Members of the sponsoring Busi ness and Professional Women's club wish to express their appreciation who assisted with the show in any way. Club members have received an invitation from the Glasgow club to attend their birthday meeting to be held Monday. April 4. begin ning at 7 p.m. in the Grill Case. Those wishing to attend are asked to ’notify Mrs. Hamil at phone 165. The next meeting is scheduled April 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hotel Sherman. Senior Women Send Cash Gift For Galen Chapel Fund Fourteen members attended the regular meeting of the Senior I Women's Club Monday evening and witnessed a TWA film, “Overseas I Run.'’ A potluck lunch was served. The meeting opened with a read ing of the Easter Story by Mrs. Paul Johnson. The members voted to send $35 to the Galen Chapel fund, an inter denominational chapel for the benefit of patients at the sanitar ium. FAREWELL PARTY HONORS MRS. FOSTER JOHNSON Mrs. Foster Johnson, nee Lucile Cloud was feted at a farewell par ty held in the Elks Ladies Lounge last Saturday afternoon. About eighty guests were present. A des sert luncheon was served by the following hostesses: Mrs. Frank Catlin. Mrs. R. D. Knapp. Mrs. J. C. Moses, Mrs. W. C. Johnson. Mrs. Wayne Gillette. Mrs. P. M. Feda, Mrs. L. M. Clayton. Jr., Mrs. George Rathert, Mrs. Robert Lowry and Mrs. L. F. Bruggeman. Mrs. John son was presented with a corsage and a gift from the group. Wedding Shower The Sunnyside Community held a Wedding Shower honoring Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rhoads at the Sunnyside School on Sunday after ] noon. About sixty friends, neigh bors and relatives were present. A pot luck lunch was served by the hostesses Mrs. Murrel "Bud" Braaten, Mrs. Harvey Berner and Mrs. C. R. "Bud" Cahill. A two | tier wedding cake was made and decorated by Mrs. Harvey Berner. The afternoon was spent visiting. Mr. anil Mrs. Rhoads received many nice and useful gifts. Surprise Open House Mr. and Mrs. C. R. "Bud” Ca hill were feted at a surprise-open house party on Sunday afternoon, March 20, in their new basement home. A social afternoon was spent with a lunch served by Mrs. Vic Bawden, Mrs. Murrel Braaten and Mrs. Harvey Berner with the help of friends. Guests included eighty - six adults and forty-two children.
