Page Eight Frazer News Briefs W.M.F. Afternoon Circle of the WMF met at the St. Paul's Lutheran church on Thursday afternoon for their Cradle Roll program with Mrs. Anna Hoves and Mrs. Ervin Fast as hostesses. There were 25 Cradle roll children present, six of whom graduated* from Cradle Roll, having reached their fifth birthday .They were Laura Long. Stanley Decker. Virginia Eliason. Cheryl Stratton, Eric Young and LaVonne Long. Devotions were led by Mrs. Er vin Fast. A skit on "Christian Nur ture" was presented by Audrey Kjensrud, Mary Dahl, Nola Holt berg, Ruth Fast, Martha Decker, and Elsie Eliason. ’"The Lord is Counting on You” was sung by Virginia Eliason anci a duet "Liv ing for Jesus” was Aing by Ruby Eliason and Barbara Berge. The graduating class was presented by Audrey Kjensrud and diplomas and testaments presented them. A bout 40 adults were present. Babies enrolled at this meeting were Kathleen Quiring, Douglas Decker. Mark Eliason and Bernard Wil kins. Lions Meet A special meeting of the Lions club was held Monday evening at the Lions room in the Coffee Cup case. Committees were appointed for the annual Lions Club July 4th Community picnic. More details will be given in next weeks news after committees have made more definite plans. 4-H Club The regular meeting of the Futurettes 4-H club was held Wed nesday evening at 7:30 in the Am erican Legion hall- After a busi ness meeting with five members present, chocolate cup cakes were made. Luther League Luther League met at the church Tuesday evening with Ira Mae Thoma giving devotions. Several hymns were sung by the group. Topics dealing with the fourth commandment “Honor thy Father and thy Mother” were given by Ann Quam, Milton Forbes, Jr., Cleo Forbes, Janice Dassonville. James Decker and Barbara Unrau. It was decided that the next Lea gue meeting, which will be June 28. should be a picnic and outdoor meeting, weather permitting. A committee was appointed by pre sident Deanna Dahl to conduct the program. Harold Dean is chair man. Recreation committee, in charge of Jimmy Decker, was also appointed. Leaguers are to meet at the church at 5 p.m. with sack lunches. Music Program Frazer people who attend the musical program presented in Wolf Point Thursday evening by a group from Bethany Bible College, Hep buijn, Sask., Canada, included Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Quiring and fam ily and Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Red dig. Wolf Point Business Caller Oliver Wagnild, Wolf Point, was a business caller in Frazer on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Kellar, their daughter, Mrs. J. Alberti, and a son, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Kellar all of Milwaukee, Wis., visited at the A. L. Taylor home from Sun day until Wednesday). Mrs. A. Kellar is a sister of Mr. Taylor. Carlson home steaded north of Frazer near the former L. J. Johnson farm 35 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Donell Nichols and family shopped in Frazer Monday. Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Barnes spent Monday evening at the Harvey Otremba home. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Quiring trans acted business in Glasgow on Mon day. Mrs. L. P. Holtberg, Mary Sue, Joy, and Sharon Fast shopped in Wolf Point Monday. E. V. Krusee, Glasgow, was a business caller in Frazer Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Fast called at the Billy Wilkins apartment Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kuka, Havre, spent Sunday at the home of her parents, the A. L. Taylors. Mr. and Mrs. Anundson were guests at the Z. J. Decker home last Thursday evening. Myra Slnght, Wolf Point, spent the past week as a guest of Vivian Bridges. Mrs. Bob Hovey and son, Bobbie of Wolf Point spent Monday eve ning at the Cliff Quam home while Mr. Hovey and Peyton Terry at tended a Chevrolet dealers meeting in Glasgow. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Funk and family left last Sunday and ex pected to spend the week vaca tioning at Yellowstone Park. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Wilkins and son Jerry were guests at the Billy Wilkins home last week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Dilbeck accompanied by Mrs. Carl Holt berg, Mrs. Rodney Baldry, Mrs. C. June 15. There were 11 members present. Bible study was given by Pastor Erick son. A topic on cradle roll was given by the cradle roll chairman. Mrs. Oliver Lein. A candlelight ceremony was held to enroll two babies in the Cradle Roll. Babies enrolled were Roger Allan Askel son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben As kelson, and Kenneth Larson, son! of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Larson. Members voted to send sls dona tion to the Old Peoples home in Kalispell, also to send $5 to the W.M.F. circuit treasurer to help pay expenses. A discussion was held on the plans for the coming twenty-fifth anniversary of the church on July 17. Following the business meeting a lunch was serv ed by the hostesses, Mrs. Lawrence Larson, Mrs. Frank Mattelin, Mrs. and Mrs. Henry Steger, Salem, Ore., called at the Theo. Dahl home Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Steger is a sister of Mrs. H. Dahl. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dahl and Floyd were Frazer callers Friday. Mrs. George Boyd Jr. visited with her daughter Mrs. Alvin Fei ock for several days last week. Mrs. Clara Smith of the south side was an afternoon caller at the Ole Lein home on Friday. The members of Our Saviors Lu theran church are having services and a dinner in honor of the church’s twenty-fifth anniversary on July 17. Services will begin at 11. Reverend Johnson of Minnea polis will be the guest speaker. Reverend Johnson was instrument al in helping the church to get organized 25 years ago. The din ger will be served at noon. Follow ing the dinner a program will be held in the church basement. High lights of the program will be n, history of the church and remarks about some of the charter members. Anyone wishing to attend may do so. Quite a few from Brockton took in the dance at Mineral Bench Saturday night.
