W. V. MeKenzie, a former well
known Comstocker. died at Hrirtfre
port, Cal.. on Saturday evening lit
7:li(l o'clock. The i-ause of death was
pneumonia. The body was taken
from Bridgeport to Virginia. The
funeral tHk place Tuesday from the
Masonic Temple in that city, and
the remains were interred in the
Masonic burying ground in (iolil Hill.
The deceased was well known in this
vicinity, being an uncle of our towns
man, A. T. McJvenzie. For many
years lie hail been in the employ of
fierce & Travis of Lundy. May his
soul rest in peace. 1
