State, having been in business in
Virginia City for the past twenty

carefully selected and consist of the

wholesale houses. They are con
stantly making improvements to
their popular store, and !efore many
months will erect a handsome stone
building uiKin the site now occupied
by them.
A Promising J'ropertj.
The Tonopah City Mining Company
has ordered a large hoisting engine,
which will arrive inside of thirty
days. The stock of the company is
being eagerly sought for, but only a
limited number of shares will be sold,
as the owners know they have a gilt
edge proposition. Fifteen thousand
shares have been purchased by Phil
adelphia parties who are acquainted
with the location of the group, which
adjoins the Salt Lake and Fraction.

found in Tonopah.
"Honus," the correspondent of the
Carson Weekly, has ceased to write
each week of a new paper to be
started in Reno, and has transferred
his new daily paper venture to Tono
pah. "Honus" is full of the "big
holler" that and nothing more.
