linear feet of the "Tonopah No. 3" quarts
claim or vein, bearing gold and silver, and oth
er precious metals, with aurfaoe ground three
hundred feet in width on each side of the cen

ated in Tonopah Mining District, County of
Nye, State of Nevada, and designated by the
field notes and official plat on file tn this office
as Mineral Survey No. 2079, in Section 2, Town
ship No. 2. N. Range No. 48 E. M. D. M., and

Containing an area of 18.96 acres, olaimed by
the survey, and being situate in the northeast
H of Section 2, Township No. 2 north, range 42,
K. M. D. M.
Substantial monuments of stone and earth
are erected 4'. feet at the base and 2 feet high
at all the corners around the posts upon this
claim.

office of the Tonopah Mining District Recorder

office of the Recorder of said Nye county, in
Hook E, of Mining Locations, pages 256 and 257
thereof. ,
The presumed general course or direction of
the said Tonopah No. 8 lode is shown upon the
said plat of survey, as near as can be deter
mined from present developments, viz: In a
- northeasterly and southwesterly direction, tbe
olaim being 143.7 feet northeast and 1240.3 feet
southwest from discovery shaft, together with
surface ground as shown upon said plat.

claimants or owners, as shown by the plat of

the provisions of the Statute in such case made

Nn. 4" auartz claim was recorded in the office
of the Tonopah Mining District Recorder on tbe
4th day of January, 1902, In Book C, pages 10
and 11. records of said district, and also in the
office of the Recorder of said Nye county, in
Book K, of Mining Locations, pages 247 ana sro
thereof.
The presumed general course or direction of
the said TonoDah No. 4 quartz vein or lode is
shown upon the said plat of survey, as near as
can be determined from present developments,
In a northeasterly and soutnwesteny airection;
tbe claim being for 100 linear feet thereof
northeast and 1284 feet southwest from the dis
covery shaft, together with surface ground as
shown upon said plat.
The names of the adjoining claims, and their
owners, or claimants, us shown by the plat of
survey, are: on the north the Butler lode, Sur
vey No. 2007, Gold Hill Mining company, claim
ant; on the east California Fraction lode. Sur
vey No. 2061, Tonopah and California Gold Min
