Name--— Address ♦ State-— Enclosed please find $_ NEVADA WILL MAKE GOOD. . Suppose Nevada mining stocks go clear down and out of sight— what then? Having little knowledge of the mines themselves, we nevertheless feel like saying that when stocks are low is the very time to buy, and when they are high is just exactly the time to sell. But the suckers will not do this. The wise men who have inves tigated the merits of Nevada's many rich mines will buy its stock while.at the bed rock price and lay it away for the natural advance which will speedily come. It is the old story—the little fellow will get frozen out. The man of means and intelligence and courage will step into his place and then when the little temporary depression goes by the great rich deposits of ore will be brought to the surface to bless mankind and add to the list of millionaires of the country. But why reason with the people about buying on a low market and selling when the stock is up? Such things will only be done by those who are thoroughly posted, and the average citizen does not either take the time or employ the right means to become acquainted with the facts and therefore buys without intelligence and usually proves himself to be the very June bug which was being sought. However, Nevada will rise triumphant from any depression. Her history warrants a belief in her future; her sons and daughters art made qf the right stuff, and somewhere and somehow the things will work out and the rich mines will be developed and untold milliom wiH yet be added from Nevada’s rock ribbed hills to carry the whiti wings of commerce around the globe and add to the happiness and pleasure of mankind.—San Jose Times. DODO YERINGTGN'S PROSPECTS The year 1908 opens witli a whirl that argurs well for the futurt of Yerington. In this, the second week of the new year, our column! are filled with the best mining news that has ever eininated from tin district. As we stated soon after assuming the management of this paper, exaggeration was wholly unnecessary in dealing with condi tions iu this wonderful country. It were folly*to chronicle events a; they transpire here with a coloring of untruth. As a matter of fac it could not be done while endeavoring to cling to the lines of legiti maey. Yerington is ahead in the race. With a handicap of many yean of inactivity she is carrying her burden to the mining post away ii the lead of the red metal camps of less favored regions. In addit on there are reported exceptionally good discoveries of gold that are ful filling the prediction of some of the most eminent engineers in th< mining world to the effect that Yerington is in the heart of the great est mineral district in all Nevada. Copper in front of us, copper behind us and gold all around us what a future have we.
