John Knghloom and wife of Haw thorne, arrived in Yerington Monday Mrs. Knghloom is very ill and comes to seek medical aid. She is a sister of Thos. lierrvman of Yerington. Daniel Kitzmeycr, saddler and har ness maker in Carson City since 1864 died in that city W ednesday. Death was due to double pneumonia, pro duced from a cold, contracted twi weeks ago. .[. A. I-.fliest Sonne, the young man who got into trouble recently in .Mason oti account of forged checks, and who has been at liberty under $1,500 cash bond, was last week taken to Lassen County, California, where he will be held for violation of his parole. Motile time ago Sonne passed worth less checks in Lassen county, was ap prehended and sentenced to five years in the California penitentiary. This sentence, however, was suspended and Sonne released on a promise of good behavior. The name uf .Miss Ruth Levcrich of Artesia, was noticed among the school pupils who were awarded a sil ver medal in the "Examiner" essay contest on "Washington,” last week .Mr. kculme, who has been in the Emergency hospital for the past five weeks suffering from a severe case of blood poison, is now very much im proved and it is hoped he will soon be well. Mrs. Stevens and sons who have been quite ill at their ranch home in tlie southern part of the valley are now convalescing. The Nevada lloney Company re ceived a new Ford truck with the Warren attachment on for use in their honey business. The mail order department of the army retail stores announce that they will close that section on the 28th oi this month, on account of the de pletion of their stocks. They have been selling the surplus stocks left over in the quartermaster’s depart ment from the late war. .F. R. 1 lennhiger left last week for San Francisco, California, for a short trip on business and to take in tin auto show for a side line. The first part of last week Salty Snyder left for San Francisco, to have his eyes treated, and upon ex amination the doctors found that hi had diseased tonsils and recommend ed that they he taken out, so*hc con sented to the operation, but while undergoing it, came near bleeding to death. They telegraphed his wife, who left immediately. lie is now convalescing, and his recovery is only a matter of time. James Barton, who .had his tonsil? removed in San Francisco, has en tirely recovered, and will return home in a few days.
