The old desks are being stored ami will eventually be dis posed of by the state. "I have not . only gained twelve pounds in weight since. I began taking Tanlac, but it has restored me to per fect health," said Mrs. F. Plumb, 7747 Fifteenth avenue, Seattle, Wash. "For two years I had suffered from stomach trouble and rheumatism, be ing in a badly run-down, weakened condition when I started taking Tanlac My appetite was so poor I could eat very little, but I suffered so much after meals I was actually afraid to eat any thing at all. I suffered nearly all the time with severe pains in the pit of my stomach, and at times would bloat up with gas until I was in perfect misery. "I had rheumatism in my arms and legs, which ached nearly all1 the time so I could hardly get around. Then, too, my nerves were so badly shattered the least little noise completely upset me and I would often lie awake all night long. I had no strength nor en ergy and just felt tired and worn out all the time. After talking with several friends who said they had been greatly benefit- i ed by Tanlac I decided to try it myself, and I never expect to be without it in my house again. It went right after my troubles and in a short while I was a well woman. "I now have a fine appetite, eat any thing I want without having a particle of trouble afterwards and the rheuma tism has left me entfrely. My nerves 5 4. are' in such good condition I can sleep like a child at night; that tired, worn out feeling is all gone and I can get around and do my housework with as much ease as I ever could." Tanlac is sold in Carson City by Charles L. Kitzmeyer. When Run-Down A committee of Carson people, head ed by Mrs. Boyle as chairman, has been asked to consider the call for Near East relief. It also appears that mil lions of starving children are facing death in the Far East. It seemed to this committee that a sjasmodic drive was not the way to meet the crisis for each section; that the business methods of the Carson City Chapter of the Red Cross pointed out the way. Monthly payments of a small sum from the people in general gives each an opportunity to help the unfortunate of other lands. If half of the population of America will gevia nickel a week for six months it will cover the estimated needs of the starving peoples of the world for the coming year. More information regarding the plan will be given you later. Subscribe for the Appeal. RATIFY MINING LEASE AT DIRECTORS' MEETING A meeting of the directors of the South West Comstock Mining company (Roberts-Reagan property) was held here yesterday. The main business was the ratification of the lease granted the Dixon brothers, who have been prose cuting work on the property the past few weeks. The directors were more than pleased with the work that has been done and the development of the property under the leasing terms shows marked im provement. During the short time of operation the Dixons have sunk approximately fifty feet, following the vein the entire distance in the shaft. It is expected to continue deeper before the first drift is run east and west on the several ledges that have been encountered. During the sinking considerable com mercial ore was extracted, which later This property is well equipped for deep mining as an electric hoist was installed some time ago, while good timbering and trackage has been main tained during the course of develop ment. This is one of the properties that has a splendid outlook for a real mine.
