That the Sparks Progressive Business- Club intends to immediately start activities that will result in that city getting an accurate enumeration of its population, came to light at a recent meeting of the club at the Dew- Drop Inn, according Jo the Sparks Tribune. Following a statement that negotia tions had been entered into with this end in view, considerable dicussion was indulged in. One plan was to secure the services of Mrs. Clyde 1 lowland, who is school census enumerator, to take a census of the entire city at the same time the children of school age are being enumerated. Others favored districting the city and placing a num ber of Prcgressives on the job. The matter was finally left to the board of directors, with full power to act for the club, and they will immediately get busy. According to the government census. Sparks is credited with only 3268 in habitants. From every basis of com putation the population of Sparks is figured at in excess of 4500 souls and possibly 5000 would be nearer the cor rect number. ! !
