P.oak, accompanied by Ambrose Murphy have left Tonopah by auto to cooperate with the Mineral authorities in locating . the new "all high gear route" between Tonopah and Mina, the Tonopah Times says. The proposed route for which Mr. Boak has been working for some time and which Min eral county has promised to build, and will begin dragging immediately, leaves the present road at a point seven miles west of Crow springs and continues on a bee-line in a northwesterly direc tion up the valley between the Cedar and P;lot ranges, seventeen miles, where it connects with the Simon-Mina boule vard at a point three miles this side of Bettles wells. It is believed this route will be fully as short if not short er than the present route and will have the advantage of practically el'miriat ingf all grades, and making a fast all year road. It is the intention, once this new road is established to entirely aban don the present deplorable route, via Summit springs and- Sodavjlle -Wash, which has so long leen the dread of all autoists, and filvverists in particular.
