ORDINANCE NO. 172
Judge F. P. Langan, candidate for re
flection as district judge of the first
judicial district, was a Carson visitor
today. He will hold a court session
tomorrow.
David Foote. foreman of the Oakland
Printing Company's plant at Oakland,
C'al.t is visiting his sisters, Mrs. II. P.
Clifford and Mrs. Damon Carr.
Dr. Dnald Maclean and two sons
motored over from Reno this morning,
returning in the afternoon.
Attorney W.lltam McKnight was a
business visitor from Reno today.
Rev. V. C. Murgutten, former rector
of St. Pi ter's Episcopal Church, was a
visitor lure yesterday. Mr. Murgotten
has accepted a position as assistant
professor of 'modern languages at the
University of Nevada.
Rev. J. L. Harvey and familv have re
turned from Stinson Beach, Cal, where
they have heen spending their vacation.
Howard M. Loy, assistant chief en
gineer of the Nevada highway depart
ment, has returned to Carson from Elko
county.
Auditor I. O. r.oue and family have
returned from an auto trip to Austin.
J. If. Pulmer, U. S. marshal, was an
arrival irm Reno last evening.
P.arney P.rule. who has been in Cali
fornia, has returned here. He was ac
compan'ed by his son, Robert, of Pitts
burgh, Penn., and granddaughter, June
Lenz of Sparks.
Mrs. Nevada Guttadt and son of San
Francisco are visiting here with Mrs.
V. H. Cavell.
Mrs. F. H. Plackwcll has returned to
this city from San Francisco where she
has been- attending the grand lodge of
the Pythian Sisters. Her daughter,
Susan, also returned.
H. C. Clapp. cashier of the Carson
P.ank, was a passenger on last night's
train to the coast.
Rev. H. V. Hunter, new rector of St.
Peter's Episcopal Church here, is ex
pected to arrive in this city in time to
conduct services next Sunday.

lighting pole, without first obtaining the
permission of the owner, agent, or oc
cupant thereof within the city limits of
Carson City, Nevada.
Section 2. Any person violat'ng the
provisions of the ordinance, upon con
viction thereof shall lie punished by a
.fine of not less than $1000 or more than
$1(X).(X) or by imprisonment in the city
jail for not less than ten days or more
than one hundred days or by both such
fine and imprisonment.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
This ordinance to take effect imme
diately after its passage, adoption and
approval and publication daily for a pe
riod of three days.
