ELY SOCIETY NOTES AND PERSONAL PARAGRAPHS THE donee given by the sophomoic class cf the White Pine county high school Friday evening was a pronounced suceesa, the beautifully gowned misses coming in for much favorable comment. Punch wnt served. The dance was attended by practically every member of the class. Announcement has been made of the marriage cf Miss Gladys Brewster of Halt Lake City to turnout Burdick of Austin, Nev.. the wedding taking place Tuesday of last week at tho homo of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Brewster, 1040 Windsor Avenue, Halt Lake City. The ceremony was p< i - formed in the presence of relatives and a few Intimate friends by the. Rev. Frank Bros*. The bride was attired in a dress of cream satin, trimmed with pearls. Miss Irene Brewster acted as bridesmai 1 and little Alberta Brew si er was ringbearer. The ceremony was followed by an informal reception. The couple will be at home in Ely after December 1. The bride will be well remembered by Ely friends, having at tended the grade school while her parents were residents ol this district. Captain Samuel C. Karrick. formerly employed by the Giroux Consolidated f'opper Company at Kimberly, who saw active service overseas and who since the ending of the war entered business in New York City, has retired from rame and reentered the service. Cap tain Karrick is now stationed nt Camp Lewis, where ho and Mrs. Karrick are now at home.
