When a mawitv of the owners representing a majority of the real estate in value in any block of land in said city shall join in a written request to the Board of Trustees ot said city to nave opened the alley in sui n block (in case an alley were originally laid out in such block), the Board of Trustees will make an order that such allev be opened. Sec. 2. When all of the owners representing all of the real estate in anv block of land in said c;tv shall join In written request to have the alley in such block closed the Board of Trustees will make an order that such alley be closed. Ssc. 3. When the health, comfort or convenience of the inhabitants of Carson City, or anv portion cf them, shall require that the allev in any block of land in said citv (provided an allev were originally laid out in such block), be oiened or altered, the Board of Trustees may. upon the written request of one or more residents of said city, or upon the recommendation oi tne street Inspector, or upon its own motion, in its discretion make an order that such such alley he opened or altered as the necessities of tae case may require. Sec. 4. All orders of the Board of Trustees made pursu ant to this Ordinance, snail, u necessary' and when so or- lered bv the Board of trustees, be executed bv the City Marshal or bv the Street Inspector. Sec. 5. Ordinance No. 16. entitled "An Ordinance in relation to opening and closing allevs in Carson Citv," adopted April 26, 1875. and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordluance, are hereby repealed. The Board of Trustees of Carson City do ordain : Section 1. Any person keeping a dog or dogs within the limits of Carson City shall procure from the City Marshal a tag for each dog for which he or she shall pay a yearly license as follows: For each male dog the sum of twi dollars, and for each female dog the sum of three dollars and shall be entitled to a receipt therefor. Section 2. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to pro cure at the expense of the City and deliver to the City Marshal such number of suitable togs as may be required, taking his receipt therefor. Said tags shall be di.sj osed of by said City Marshal in the manner hereinafter provided, lie shall make out and submit to the Board of Trustees at least once in each quarter year, and at any time when said Board may require it, a verified statement of his re ceipts from the sale of dog tags, showing the amount out nd retained by him for fees, as he- i if p . . ae-I. and the amount paid into the t-e-s-!"-' Section 3. Section 4. For each tag sold by the City Marshal he shall be entitled to a fee of ten percent; for killing and burying each imjiounded dog he shall receive the sum of one dollar. The fees herein provided for shall be retained and paid out of the money derived from the sale of dog ta-n by the City Marshal.
