Section1: Be it ordained by the Police Jury of the Parish of St. John the Baptist. in lawful session assembled, that an elec tion shall be, and is hereby called to be held throughout Roid Dis trict No. 1 of the Parish of St. John the Baptist, on the 12th, day of December, 1916, at which election the majority of the property tax-payers, in number and amount, qualified to vote under the Constitution and laws of the State of Luisiana and voting, shall dsterihine the pro position to incur debt and issue bonds of the said Road District No. 1 of the Parish of St. John the Baptist to the amount of Eigbty Thousand Dollars, to run for a period of fifteen years, bearing interest at the rate of five per cent per annum, payable semi-annually, the funds thus derived to be used for the purpose of constructing, improving and maintaining public roads and highways in Road District No. I of the Parish of St. John the Baptist.
