Women’s Club Notes. The Philanthropic Section was attended by more than twenty five ladies Monday afternoon at the Home. In the absence of the chairman, Mrs. Goodbar. Thompson, the former chairman, Mrs. Lizzie Taylor, presided. A glorious praise meeting was en enjoyed in connection with the potato shower. Visitors from abroad in the persons of Mrs. U. B. Taylor of Ottumwa, Iowa, president of the the Phyliss Wheatly club of that city and Mrs Dyer of Lincoln, [11. These ladies were highly pleased with the work of this noble club and said many things which helped to encourage the faithful few in their untiring la bor for good. Mrs. Roie Hunter our ex-pres ident, in a very few words ex pressed her earnest desire to be one of the ten ladies to solicit $1 or more per month for the piano fund. This undertaking is com yuendable in that it is for the pleasure and comfort of the L. O. P’s. Home. This concert is .under the auspices of the Home Cul ture ..ection of which Mrs. Roie Hunter is chairman. All monies collected for the ■"■4 inane fund, will be handed iu Monday, Feb. 5th at the business meeting to help make a payment on the piano to be purchased. Do not forget to contribute to this fund, every well wisher of the Homo. The church, we are glad to learn, is making a move on ward. St. Paul is one. if not the most beautiful church in the State, (col.) excepting Chicago, ind we hail this good news and uromulgate it with gusto. When our people learn to con luct themselves in a manner be soming, as emphasized by A. H. Roberts, before the Culture last Sunday, they will have learned i great lesson, something that egislators and Presidents can’t ?ive them.
