He sets forth several reasons why the charter should not be granted and declar ed the organizers of the plaintiff lodge adopted the same name set out in its articles with the design to imitate the name of the Grand Lodge and other Elks' lodges-, and did so ' frauduently, wrong fully and illegally.” The case will come to trial in September. It has attracted at tention in Elk circles all over the United States and will likely be dealt with by the grand lodge of the order in annual session next week at Philadelphia. According to the New England conference of the African Meth odist Episcopal church, in session at Boston; the action of President Boosevelt in discharging the Drownville troops will become an issue at the next campaign.
