The inspection was a "hot one" in the word of the member of the com- piny and the most severe the local com pany ever underwent. Hoisting by the tkip has been going on at this shaft since last week. Mr. Robert Stevenson, of Boston, who has been visiting the mines nere for the past week or so, left at noon for Mar quette and will spend a week yisiting the iron mines before going east. There will be no drill of tbe Light Guard tomorrow evening on account of the extra drill which was held Monday even ing. The first regular drill will beheld Thursday of next .eek.
