Mr. Ashley, of Iowa, has moved to the Charley Paine place and is building a new barn. Mr. Ashley doesn't believe in letting his horses and he has some fine ones stand out in the weather like some of the Panhandle people. I see where he is right. Messrs. Frazierand Fngland were in Clarendon last week shopping. The new comers are slowly com ing in. There has been several land deals made in the last few days. We are glad to see them. They are mostly from the old states of Iowa, Michigan and Illinois. L. M. C. Of Interest to Sick People. To get well or to be relieved is their one thought, a remedy that will do. this has their lasting gratitude. "Girls are the sisters of boys and has long hare, wares dresses an powder. The first girl was called Christmas Eve, though I never cud see why. Most every family has one girl and some of 'em that is in hard luck has two or three. We have a girl in ours, who is my sis ter. My sister has been twenty five fur three years, and some day we may be twins. Girls play the pianer and talk about each other. Fat girls want to be thin and thin girls want to be fat, and all of 'em want to marry doods. Why the Lord made girls nobody nos, but I think it were to go to' church and eat ice cream. They is three kinds of girls, brunet girls, blond girls and inem mat nave money, uirls is afraid of mice and bugs, which makes it fun to put them down their backs. -Silverton Enterprise JUST ARRIVED ! May their lives be one of peace and happiness and may their honeymoon lust until death brings that sad separation, is the wish of the writer. Well, .to say the weather has been the muddiest we ever saw at this time of the year is putting it mildly. No sickness of any kind to report this week around Conway. Mr. J. C. Kelley, of Conway, has been out in Mexico prospecting, but returned Monday last thinking more of Carson county than ever. Rev. W. H. Baker, of Donley county, spent Monday night with the writer, on his way to Lakeview, below Claude. He reports lots of homeseekers around him and land selling close around the $15 mark. We noticed two threshers at work in Carson, and here it is winter again, but our people always have something to thresh, to sell and to eat. Kid. S. J. Thomas, of Goodnight, preached a fine sermon at Conway last Sunday to a large audience. G. W. B. Failed. All efforts have failed to find a better remedy for coughs, colds and lung troubles than Foley's Honey of Tar. It stops thecough, heals the lungs and prevents seri ous results from a cold. J. N. Pat terson. Nashua, Iowa, writes: "Last winter I had a bad cold on my lungs and tried at least half a dozen advertised cough medicines and had the treatment of two phy sicians without getting any benefit A friend recommended Foley's Honey and Tar and two-thirds of a bottle cured me. I consider it the, greatest cough and lung medicine in the world." Golding &t Richard son. 44- lm WANT ADS. (One cent a word tor first insertion half a cent a word each insertion follow ing.
