) The Canyon News man feels that his lines have fallen in pleasant places. The longer he stays with-ihe Canyon people the more fully will he be con vinced of the fact, he says: "Never in the history of the writer's experience has he been the recipient of so hearty a wel come as has been endered by the citizens of Canyon City. The true, hospitable spirit is a characteristic of worthy western people and the representative citizenship of this town is com posed of that type of humanity that never let the stranger feel the pangs of a separation from the dear old surroundings of a far off home. "Hale County Herald. One Woman's Experience With a lvip Remedy. While suffering from a severe attack of the grip and threaten ed with pneumonia, Mrs. Annie H. Cooley, of Middletiekl, Conn., began using Chamberlain's Cough Remedy and was very much benefitted by its use. From California comes the news that the first attempt to supply a daily press report by wireless telegraphy has been successfully made, and the first newspaper depending entirely upon that method of telegraphy has been launched. One notable point is that the news for the first edition of the paper was sent during a violeut storm. The name of the new paper is quite appropriate ''The Wire less."'
