To bo swindled out of your goods by customers whom you consider trust worthy, is bad, but all who soil on credit must expoot to suffer such losses To bo robbed by burglars or highwaymen is worse; still jou have a right and a ohance to defend your self, and if you snooted to send a bullet through a robber's brains, you havo rendered a valuablo soivice to society. Worst of all is to bo robbed by a trusted employee, a confidential clerk, in whom you placo too mum confidence. It is impossible to carry on any business without trusting in tho honor of employees, and exposing yourself to robbery. I havo been robbea in this wiy by my former book-keeper, Charles Werner. Any information disolosing his present location, will bo properly rewarded, as I shall spare no pains nor expenso to mako him face a Waco jury. Since New Year, trade with mo has been very brisk. My men have worked their fullest capaoi ty. I have come to the conclusion that the pcoplo appreoiate tbo fact of having in their midst one of tho lar gest, best equipped and best managed hardware stores in tho stato, where they always can find what thoy want, and seouro the lowest prices, cither in small, or wholesale lots. Yours for hardware, E. Stuaubb. THE ANTI-OPTION BILL. Mlnnoapolla Claims It Would Kcsult In , Injur) to tint I'lii-niiTi. Minneapolis, Minn., Jan. 16. Tho Minneapolis clearing house, overy bank in tho city being represented, has nnaiii imously ndoptml a long piotest against tho Washburn nuti-option bill and sentn committee to Washington to present it to tho proper committee. Tho piofest says: "Mr. "Washburn himself, wo under stand, admits that if tho bill becomes a law no ouo could buy for fut ure delivery except tho mnnufacturei and exporter. This would of course restrict all sales for future delivery to thoso parties, so driving out of the grain business tho largo class of eleva tor and commission merchants and forcuig tho producor to sell his crop to ono or tho other of tho classes named, tho manufacturer or exporter. In out opinion tho legislation would injuro the farmer, upou whoso prosperity our whole section is dependent, by restricting his market and inevitably lowering the price of his products. Wo cannot but regard tho dealing in tho commodities named in this bill, wheat, corn, oats rye, barloy, cotton and all other farm products, mul also poik, lard and all other hog products as entirely legitimate on tho part of tho elovntor and com mission houses, notwithstanding tho fact that reckless persons do nnd will continue to gamble in them, nnd any ldgislation that contemplates by prohibitive taxes doing away with all dealers in grains savo the manufacturer and exporter, and to force tho farmer to conlino his hales for future dolivory to those two parties named, must bo considered as practically class legislation and theieforo undesirable. Wo should consider that if this bill bo comes a law it could but result in seri ously injuring tho credit of our grain men by making it impossible for them to protect their holdings by sales ol future delivery, and If tho fanner is pro hibited from selling his crop for future delivery only to tho oxportor or manu facturer it would bo at such low price os would warrant tho purchasers iu carrying it, and lesult in putting tht price of wheat so low that it would greatly injure if not ruin tho farmor."
