DeaU ijiu: l'ho utidcriinud, jour Mib iioiuiuittco appointed to go to Austin in bebalt of the locitioo ol one of courts of the pioposed new supremo judicial dibtrict, renpectfully report thnt after a very careful canvass of the claims of Wueo for one ot the said courts iniiotig tlic members of the legislature, ilia- v,c have oVur teibon to believe that by an earnest and en thusiastic effort, on tho part of the people here, that we can be buccessful and secure tho prize. To do this it is ubiclutoly necessary first, that the people of Waco shall, through her leading and re sponsible citizsLS, guaiAiuce to the state suitable quartets for the eaid couit. Second, that a sufficient sum, not loss than 81,500 bo raisntl by tho people to enablo tho committeo ap pointed at the mass meeting to properly piescut thi. claims of Waco to tne logislatuto and to also familiar ive themsolvos wi'h tho work neces sary to be done in which it will be necessary to study, not only tho claims of Wnco, but tho othnr cities compet ing with her. The oomrmttoo on supreme judicial districts meets Mon day afternoon uoxt at o'clock, at which time this matter uill bo takon up, and Waco must bo prepared to present her claims then, if ever. Tho new committee ought, therefore, to return there not later than Sunday night. Your sub-committee desire to state auin that we have met with such on oouragemont while tneie, that we ieo'i assured that if the suggestions herein made are oarrird out, Waco will got the court. Your committee further reports that it has secured a unanimously favora ble report on tho bill for a soparue judicial district court for MoLennan county, from tho senate committee on judicial distnuts. The houso com mitteo will meet next Wednesday night to act upon tho same bill, and wo arc confident that it will report likewise favorably, if it has the same attention as given it in the senate. With these two favorable reports, we think the bill is sure cf passing. Uespeotiully submitted, W. A. Williamson, R. II. Harrison, John. H. Harrison, Piskney S. Ford, W. (J. Watson, (J. C.
