the mayor be Instructed to sell the
City Hall bords elicited considerable
discussion. Mayor Maloney preferred
that a special committee be entrusted
with this duty. He said however that
If the council Insisted that he would
aell the bonds, and It waa so ordered.
- During this discussion Mayor Malo
ney expressed the opinion that the
council abould at once make provision
for putting In a sewer ay-tern begin
ning In the business dlntrlrt. Some of
the alderm n were of the opinion that
provision for a permanent water sup
ply rhould be made first No action
was taken on this proposition. In
this connection Ills Honor suggested
the construction of a large retervolr
in some convenient watershed for the
storage of the flood water.
Alderman Henderson moved that
an advertlsment be Inserted In The
Bryan Eagle for one week asking for
bids for the sale of the City Hall
block, reserving the right to reject
any and all bids. This proposition was
discuss d with much spirit and at
considerable length. When the show
down came a maloritv voted for It an1!

to clean off the loose dirt and rubbi b
