and have always beoijprbminently
connected with our order
Hogg says there are two kinds
ot lawyers the houurable and the

Judging fromtJieway lie was

eiir case and wlio routed Hogg
Miorte foot and dragoons If the

Now Mr Editor I wish to saj that
we arxj trot politicians we all of us

Frjm the Million
A late traveler was in Mexico
on a botanical expidition One
day he saw a dark object on one of
the outlving jspurs of the Sierra
Mad re Mountains He saw it had
long slender limbs drooping like
a weeping willow They had a
slimy snaky appearance and at
times the whole tr e seemed to
writhe One day ha saw a bird
circle about it for some time aud
then a light on the top Then the
brunches began to ery and drew it
down until he lust sight of it The
botanist tried as Jie had several
time before to cfimb the steep
The rock on which he steppad
loosened and fell himself witli it
He was not injured and he found
that the r ck hbd left quite a cavi
ty He looked in and saw quite
a cayern and felt a current of
fresh air blowing onhis face With
his towel he enlarged the hole so as
to admit of liis ascent He saw
the flattened body of the bird fall
to the ground which was covered
with boitfS and feathers The tree
was iiot above 20 feet in height
but covered a great area Its trunk
was uf prodigious thickness knot
ted and caly From tho top of
tin s trunk a few feet from the
ground its slimy branches curved
upward and downward nearly
touching the ground with their
tips On his venturing touch light
ly one of the limbs it closed on his
hand with such force that it tore
the skin when he wrencUed it away
There was no fuiiagu ou the tree
