A matter of paramount importance
which will, come before the different
conferences in Texas will be the es
tablishment of a university in Texas
This may result in the establishment
of a full university at Georgetown, or
it may be that an entirely new, uni
versity may eb established elsewhere.
The establishment of a university
separate from the southwestern uni
versity at Georgetown has been a
vexed question in the denomination
for a number of years. It is believed
that West Texas holds the balance
of power and in the final decision it
is believed the vote will be in favor
of the establishment of a full univer
sity at Georgetown.
Bishop Atkins has announced that
a number of strong men will be
brought to this conference, and it is
likely that a number of changes will
be made. So far as the time limit
is concerned nearly all of the San An

is the germ of La Grippe, that, breathed
in, brings suffering to thousands. Its
after effects are weakness, nervousness,
lack of appetite, energy and ambition,
with disordered liver and kidneys. The
greatest need then is Electric Bitters,
the splendid tonic, blood purifier and
regulator of Stomach, Liver and Kid
neys. Thousands have proved that they
wonderfully strengthen the nerves,
build ujV the system and restore health
and good spirits after an attack of Grip.

MSPONOENT GIRL
' SWALLOWS ACID
Despondent, a woman known as
Rose Lamb, 24 years old, went to her
room in a house at 205 North Laredo
street Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock
and swallowing an ounce of carbolic
acid, died ten minutes later. Her
groans attracted the woman who con
ducts the place and she summoned
two physicians, but death ensued five
minutes after their arrival on the
scene.
The body was taken to the Shelley-
Loring morgue, where it was pre
pared for burial and will be held
pending advices from relatives, who
are said to reside in the northern
part of the state. At the house where
the young woman took the drug, the
occupants stated that they knew very
little concerning the dead woman's
former place of residence, or rea.
name, and nothing of her relatives.
All they knew was that she had been
rooming at that place, during the past
several months and that she had late
ly been very despondent.
