Good friends at the Valley you will

Our girls are lately, onr boys are
brae;
In tho Valley you'll find all that a

Rich land, good people, good lager
beer
And at Hohcnzollcrn you'll find
good cheer.
On Saturday, the 8th, we'll have a
grand ball
And the belles and beaua of Shiner
are invited to call,
If so far, into the country they caro
to go,
And all night long we'll shake a
light too
Ab gajly and swiftly the hour3will
pass.
Good music and beer only five
cents a glass.
Everybody come to tho now plat
form, Just onemile south of Valley View
Farm;
Where thero are batchslors all of

Are out in their best suits looking
for wives.
Jake, of Dilworth must surely
come down .
And give the Valley View boys n
round;
They lmvo all gone toSeydler'aand
bought their new hats
And purchased from Hdlchak their
n snow white cravat?.
And by the beard of the prophets
you'll havo lots of fun.
Now dear reader I guess yon ar
glad I'm done,
Mororain eery day but cotton
picking goes right ahead all the
same; no one seems to complain of
too much bad weather, but there
are no grumblers at the Farm.
J V Tucker has had a nico largo
shod added to the front or his gin
and in the future customers ill
not have unload their cotton in the
sunshine or rain but will havo a
cool shade.
Charles Flato and little son,
Charlie, of Shiner, came down to
the Farm last week and let the con
tract for two moro nice rent houses
and other improvements.
Mr. Tucker and wife went down
to Cnero Friday.
There was a ball at Hermis last
Saturday night.
We havo a nice echeol hou? e,
well equipped and sealed and a
German Methodist pastor of Gon
zales who preaches every second
Sunday and now ho want a pastor
who speaks English to come and
