THE BUSINESS OF AB
STRACTING.
The business of abstracting titles
is of comparatively recent growth.
As lands increase in value the need
of title security becomes more and
more imperative.
It is just as sensible to safeguard
the title to a thousand dollar vacant
lot as it is to keep your thousand
dollar bond under lock and key.
Protection in either case is the thing
sought.
Good titles make real estate as ne
gotiable as stocks or bonds.
There is no way of being sure about
the title except by the help of an
abstract.
Demand an abstract before you buy
—the owner pays for it.
