directed Secretary Hoot to confer upon
the court of appeals the right to review
the case of Estes G. Hathbone, con
victed of complicity In Cuban postal
frauds, with authority to take addi
tional evidence If so desired. This au
thority will be Immediately conferred,
and It Is presumed the court will act
at once.

ence committee of the Danish parlia
ment. which Is considering the Danish
West Indies treaty, did not result In
an agreement and the matter will
necessarily go over until September.
