Sunday's edition of the Houston Post ν .is a hummer. The edition consisted of seventy-six pages and is the largest newspaper ever issued in Texas. To print this mammoth edition one carload of paper was re quired and it took over 100 carriers to deliver the paper to subscribers in Houston. The Post is the only big democratic daily in the state and the Light is glad to see it suc ceeding. Nov. 17.—A brakeman who formerly ran Into Paris on the 'Frisco was killed a short time ago In a wreck on the Arkansas and Choc taw road. A hole was torn in his side by some of tbe timbers. At the time he was killed he was wearing a gold watch, and when his body was re moved from the debris it was miss ing Twenty-four hours after the body was recovered It occurred to some of the dead man's friends te probe the wound,la bis aide, and the missing watch waa found in It. The piece of timber that pierced the hole in his side had driven the watch Into his body. It Is claimed that the watch was still running when taken out. Itatvr mined to llle. Dawson, Oa., Nov. 17.—Lavoysler Lamar, a merchant of this place, aged twenty seven, and related to the noted Lamar family of Georgia, committed suicide by shooting himself with a pis toi on the track of the Central of Georgia railroad and allowing the train to run over hie body.
